Mondo Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 It states in the listing that they were Recaro rails. They are, in fact, the factory Recaro rails for the Z32 as they're identical to the ones I have fitted in mine. I've also a sneaky feeling that the seller was the same guy I was in talks with back in 2014 who told me he'd sold them to a guy in Italy for over £300.... *uh huh* Quote
Guest dan300zx Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 so they are genuine rails then. are your seats factory recaro bitted by Nissan am fitting recaro speed seats but not form Nissan so I take it the bolt holes what line up then Quote

I had a pain trying to get the seats out to swap sides! Quote

Did you find them difficult to fit? I had a pain trying to get the seats out to swap sides! I found them really easy to fit aside from one of the rear bolts on each seat. I found I had to dismantle half the runner to be able to bolt the seat up, then reassemble the runner afterwards. Quote

Although I have a 2+2 so it could be better or worse. I don't think Recaros were offered on any 2+0 model - do the rails still fit correctly? Quote

Mondo Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 The rails that you've bought, and that I have fitted in my own Zed, were made by Recaro specifically so their Speed seats could be fitted directly into a Z32 as an optional extra. Quote
Guest dan300zx Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 super that's cool then that's what I needed, I take it them rails are very rare then , the bride seat rails I was looking at came to £400 plus post for the pair. Quote

As I said before, the seller (if it's the same chap) messed me around back in 2014 and then claimed he'd sent them to Italy for over £300... but the pictures on that recent listing are the very same pictures that he sent me.... Hopefully they'll actually be delivered for you! They're rare inasmuch that there were less Z32s fitted with the optional Recaros than were fitted with the standard seats. But if you want to fit Recaro seats in any car, you simply can't do better than using Recaro's own mounting rails :thumbup1: Quote
Guest dan300zx Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I see did you pay then he gave you a refund or something Quote
Mondo Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 I see did you pay then he gave you a refund or something No, he kept telling me to make an offer for them - when I did, he told me someone else had offered more so I'd need to offer more. I got a bit bored with that and the next thing I knew, they were apparently going to Italy. It looks as if they either didn't make it there or got sent back again.... Quote
Guest dan300zx Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 very strange hay all over some seat rail of all things Quote
