  1. I've decided to go back to the OEM intake hoses, which means my hardpipe kit is up for sale. I got this from JaiKai and replaced all the silicone couplers for brand new ones in April last year. The couplers were supplied by ASH (Auto Silicone Hoses). So there are the four polished hard pipes themselves, eight silicone couplers in red and a box of Mikalor clamps to hold everything together. Here's what it all looks like fitted: One of the pipes has a "nick" in the finish, but it doesn't affect the structural integrity whatsoever. :) Looking for £70 including delivery to your door. :thumbup1:
  2. Has anyone got any recommendations for cleaning the OEM intake pipes...? I'd like to get them looking nice and fresh again and don't want to inadvertently use something that will degrade the material! Si and Joel, I'm sure you guys have some tips... ;)
  3. Oh, to be on leave from work....
  4. I've always had a strange soft spot for the convertible Zed, even more so after seeing Johnyboy's TT one at Coventry! The issue for me is that it would have to be a TT manual one, which would make it into a very expensive purchase. But yeah, I wouldn't say "no" to owning a Vert myself :)
  5. From what little I know (from messing around with them myself), I thought the speedo had a single potentiometer. There's a screw at the top right of the speedo board (looking from the front) and that can be put in two different places which, apparently, has an effect on the clocks. The two-pronged plate that this screw fits into can be desoldered and moved around - there's a hole next to it and I think they have something like "5K" and "100K" written on them. I personally haven't messed around with that though, so I could be talking complete tosh... One thing I DO know though is that swapping a UK speedo into a JDM cluster will sort the speedo issue but, unless you swap the odometer as well, your mileage will still rack up in kms!
  6. Waaaay ahead of you guys!
  7. Veilside's been having this precise problem for a while now... think he's mashed about 3 boxes to date... :pinch:
  8. I could be interested in this. Would depend entirely on when though, really!
  9. Click me! This is like a masterclass in how not to advertise your car for sale.......
  10. You couldn't pay me to be you right now...!!
  11. I've got a TT diff here if you want it. :thumbup1: There were apparently no issues with it when it was removed from the car it was on (not mine).
  12. The only way to successfully trim a dashboard in any material is to strip the original vinyl cover off completely. I've found this out the hard way!
  13. It's funny you should ask that, Dean... I'd decided to open this to members cars, rather than strictly Zeds. So yes, any vehicle owned by a club member would be eligible :thumbup1:
  14. I have a list... but no mention of materials, colours, etc... ;) But plenty of time for all that :)
  15. Such a clean Zed!
  16. Groover has just replied and it's all systems go now. :) So there'll be a thread going live tomorrow for interested parties to register on. So get your thinking caps on and start working out exactly what you're after! :thumbup1:
  17. When we get to that point in a month or so, yes! Damn, you're a keen one.....
  18. Serious serious thought has been given to this as, logistically, it's a huge undertaking for me. But I've decided to go ahead with it anyway! I've PM'd Groover and, once I get the green light from him, I'll be starting a proper thread for this Group Buy. PLEASE bear in mind that it will be at least this time next year before any work starts! As I've said previously, I can appreciate that this is a long timescale, but it's the only way I can do it and (hopefully) manage everyone's expectations as well. I'm expecting the timelines to run like so: September will be spent getting names of interested parties and finalising design specs, then October will be taking deposits and issuing receipts. Hopefully this will suit the vast majority of people and I'll be able to run a hugely successful Group Buy and completely burn myself out in the process!
  19. I'm finally getting around to replacing the rear spats on my Zed, so these are now available. They are the OEM spats specifically for the SWB, which seem to be a rather rare item. They differ from the LWB ones as they are shorter and wider and, of course, they fit the SWB rear bumper perfectly. The passenger side spat is in superb condition. The driver's one has a little bit of (repaired) damage to the top mounting hole inside the wheelarch, and a "crack" on the underside. The crack has been repaired but is still noticable if you lie on your back and look up at it from underneath the car. These were sprayed in 673 Silver about 15 months ago and the paintwork is in reasonable condition, with a couple of minor stonechips here and there. Looking for £75 delivered to your door. I'll get some detailed photos up shortly. :thumbup1:
  20. How did you prep the dashboard, Joel? I take it that the original grained vinyl is still underneath the new cover...?
  21. He's a good bloke, that Dent fella :thumbup1:
  22. Not a fan of Bride seats myself. Too many fakes around and, personally speaking, I don't think they're a particularly attractive seat. I've always been a Recaro man! :thumbup1:
  23. Well, so far it seems that there are no objections to the start date being around 12 months away :thumbup1: I realise that may seem like a crazy notion; paying a deposit for something that's the thick end of a year in the future, but it's just one of those things. I'll no doubt be starting a proper GB thread once we're into September, so it's thinking caps on all round!
  24. Diagnosis: officially bonkers! :thumbup1:
