  1. We had that here about 5 hours ago....
  2. Enjoy your holiday, Groover. :thumbup1: Me? I'm actually really excited for this coming weekend!!:nana2:
  3. Get lost with your super-clean, super-shiny engine bay..... :gunsmilie:
  4. I think there's going to be quite a number on Sunday that are capable of doing that!
  5. I fear your freshly-painted beauty will put mine to shame, Gaz....
  6. Well, that's about as good as it's going to get! It's just started spotting with rain here so it's fortunate that I'd just finished :) I'll do the interior once this MR2's been dropped off tomorrow morning, then I'm on my way to Coventry
  7. I detest cleaning cars! Honestly, I don't know how detailers put themselves through the hell that is trying to make a car all shiny and presentable...! But I'm getting there... slowly... And at least the exhaust's nice and shiny (even though I'm changing it next month!). Now to get cracking with the bodywork :surrender:
  8. This is it. This is our summer!!
  9. I have a pair of polished stainless sill trims that are no longer required. I believe these are Smithy's versions as they're absolutely not Altia. Good condition and polish up nicely. Complete will all shiny screws as well. :) £60 the pair and again, I can take these to Coventry with me at the weekend.
  10. Time to de-shine the engine bay, I think. So my two polished fuse box covers and brake fluid cover are up for sale. AMS large fusebox cover. Good condition, albeit some very light surface scratches. Small fusebox cover. No legend inscribed on this. Same condition as the larger one. Brake fluid reservoir cover. Some pitting and discolouration to the top, may come up with some serious elbow grease. £50 for all three and they'll be at Coventry this weekend with me should anyone want them. :thumbup1:
  11. Hours of fun to fit those, right? I remember it well... What's the issue with the fixing, Rich?
  12. Just come back from a little jaunt into Stockton as I had to go to Halfrauds and get some metal polish for tomorrow. A nice little drive out with the roof off... reminds me why I love this car so much....
  13. This is a turn out for the books...!! Glad you've got it (at least temporarily) sorted and hope you can find the underlying cause quickly, mate :thumbup1:
  14. My rears are 10x19 and without some stretch on the tyres, my arches would need rolling slightly...
  15. You'll be pleased to hear that the interior comes with a FREE Zed then! :thumbup1:
  16. Would you like to just buy my interior and be done with it...??
  17. Sounds like new backbox time, mate!
  18. I think this will be the last mod I do before Coventry, but it's one I've been toying with for quite a while now. One leather-trimmed binnacle cover  As with everything in this car, the leather is from Andrew Muirhead as it's such exceptional stuff. This is Ash Grey and the trim's been finished with some burgundy topstitching to tie it in to the overall colour scheme. I like it a lot, even though it's really difficult to take a picture of it when it's fitted! I would've used this shade of leather for all the interior plastics but, as I said yesterday, that plan is no more. But I personally think the binnacle cover works as an "accent" on it's own. :thumbup1:

Why not Wetherby services then? If Lee and Paul are joining the A1 from the A19, that'll be the first major services you all come to. :thumbup1:
  20. I paid about £90, but they did fit new track rod ends to the front before they did the alignment. I'm sure I saw they had an offer on very recently for something like £35 for full alignment.
  21. They did, yeah. Couldn't do anything about my camber because I don't have adjustable arms, but everything else was set up really well. I got a printout showing what the recommended settings are, what my settings were and what they were set to. Comprehensive service! :)
  22. Sturdy little buggers, aren't they?!
  23. It's like you just don't listen sometimes.... With everything you've changed, you'll need all your settings adjusted so regular tracking just isn't going to do the job!
  24. I reckon you're staring at a sizeable bill seeing as it's effectively two engine swaps, plus all the necessary ancilliaries!
  25. You'll need 4-wheel alignment for sure, Lee. Give Spanner Monkeys a try - that's who did mine recently and I think they've got an offer on at the moment. Have a look for them on Facebook. :thumbup1:
