  1. Not us. I put it down to me being out of action. That's my short lived career over and done with anyway.
  2. Thanks for the comments and well wishing... It brings it home when somet like this happens to yourself and when you hear brave stories like jap slappers (thanks for the story and glad you're positive)... Everyone takes things for granted but it soon brings it home. Been for a secondary eye check today and thankfully my sight and movement isn't damaged. I've learned that the coloured part of your eye is a muscle which is bleeding(?) from the whack and the back of my eye is bruised but fortunately doesn't need lazering and should heal on its own. Just got a cocktail of drops to reduce pressure and keep my pupil dilated to stop the coloured bit from scarring. I met Chris Moon a month or so ago and as much as I'm not a fan of motivational speaking, he certainly gives you food for thought and ultimately whatever happens, look for the best in the situation.
  3. Thanks, once my eye is focusing properly again I'm gonna go back. Cos of the fracture I can't run or blow my nose for a while. So much aggro. Not sure what my customers will think of a black eye tho!
  4. Thanks for the comments guys. I will bring myself to throw a pic up in due course but feeling to sorry for myself to take one just yet!
  5. Just had the worst day ever.. Was playing indoor cricket last night and a ball got batted straight in my face (should never take your eye off the ball I know!) Anyway, black eye straight away and thought it'll be best to get checked out in a&e and turns out my eye socket is fractured and eyeball is shagged. Been to 3 hospitals today and feel better after finding out that nothing's terminal but gonna be a good 6 weeks recovery to start with :-( Worst injury I've ever had and it wakes you up to how fragile us human mortals are. Anyone else had a wake up call?
  6. Lots of good advice coming out here... Hope you find somet, and no matter what the finer details are, you'll love it either way!
  7. What an utter one eye...
  8. I think your best bet is to set a budget and find the best car to fit into it. Ideally swb ideally manual ideally this and that is important but can be difficult to tick all the boxes AND the price one too. Good luck searching tho... And check mine out in the For Sale if you like history
  9. Met up with a friend today and took some snaps... Nice location which we used to take photos in our boy racer days. I was unsure of the Crossfire at first but actually a nice car and sounds superb! We need to get a few Zeds together before mine goes!
  10. My advert thread is up and running in the for sale section. Open to offers to go to a good home :tooth:
  11. Good luck with the sale, I'm in a similar boat where I have to store it outside and I don't want it turning into a shitheap before my very eyes purely as its out in all elements. Thought I would let someone else enjoy her and when I get a bigger garage can buy it back :-)
  12. I've never understood why you would want to turn it off
  13. Crumbs, not a fan... and will probably be a fair amount of effort to get them back to somewhere near standard.
  14. Not good, sorry to hear that. I feel lucky to have a job and one that I enjoy. Good luck moving forward.
  15. Wow, what a sausage fest :-) This club does have great spirit from what I've seen so far and is a credit to its members doing gestures like this... Keep up the good work.
  16. Good work Terry, it's nice to see you cracking on with it and the end result will undoubtably be better than you make out on here
  17. Has it been under a cover or tarp? Mine blistered a tiny bit after being under a cover for a short time (yes, you all told me! But now I've seen it for myself!)
  18. That underside is somet else! Keep up the good work
  19. Standard is ok too! Welcome
  20. Yeah that's it, I remember going to a jap meet years ago and checked them but no joy! Ill pm ya next time.. In the meantime if anyone fancies a quick local meet then ill be about
  21. I was out and popped in on the off chance but couldn't see anyone (or find the car park!) A couple of type r civics were charging around looking for people like me! Maybe next time
  22. Hey all... Anyone about up bluewater tomorrow night to tag on to the Supra meet? Anyone know what time and car park it's in? Just got the old beast taxed and wanna use it!
  23. Miserable isn't it, ah well... Least there is lots to look forward to.
