Nothing you guys haven't seen before but I started to detail my engine bay today, it's going to be a long arsed process! Did Nissan do some kinda rust preventer from new? Cos the engine bay is covered in a kind of wax oil stuff all round the inner wings etc... Not really a bad thing but doesn't look to clever when it's just sitting on painted metal :-) Anyway, couple of pics. Good weekend so far everyone?

What an interesting thread! A small part of me dies when I see any remotely rare car bought and broke simply cos its 'worth more in bits'. The passion for lots of cars seemed to be dying out, even the previously huge Ford RS owners clubs are getting smaller and smaller and people are buying the cars without the love for them, run them into the ground then break them. Sad times.

It's a double edged sword, I hate seeing them getting broken but keep buying used parts off them! If its relatively healthy then try I would like to think people would save them...

It's worth whatever someone wants to pay for it... Let them make their own mind up what's good or bad value.

They are the standard Nissan ones, like the ones in the pic but currently look a bit miserable and dull! Is it high tempt enamel spray paint you used? I want to do a proper job but am tempted just to brush on whilst still attached to the car :-/ or is that a bit mickey?

Wow! I like them... bet they work well with the white. What paint did you use? Maybe red with black detailing but think i'll try and scrub them up first and keep them stock as its difficult to remove if the paint doesn't suit.

Hi all, I'm having my wheels returned this week and I'm concerned that they're gonna make my standard, but tired looking callipers look even worst! I've always been a fan of red (especially as the car is also red) or shall I go silver, or somet totally different? Could give them a good wire brush and tidy up and keep it standard but whatcha y'all reckon?

I would leave it as it is, I've got a car for sell at the moment and I think it's perfectly priced but simply isn't selling... Lots of interest but no commitment. I'm sure it's only the time of year so sit on it if you can...

These wheels were designed to wind anal people up (myself included!) Bit like the Escort XR3 dogleg and RST wheels...

M5's are awesome in their own right and not even remotely comparible to anything Jap. We should embrace the new addition and appreciate it for what it is, even if you wouldn't own one yourself. Nice car, fair play...
