  1. You can have the toad with the roof down protection and timer but you don't get the ability to adjust yourself from the remote. I have been fitting clifford toad and sigma since 1997 and very rarely have had problems with any of them. Clifford are actually very reliable now as there just clifford in name. They are now actually directed electronics stuff and I am a very good engineer. You get a lifetime parts warranty but I give a lifetime installation warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. For outright fit and forget security with no fancy extras I would go for SIGMA S30. For features and future expandability with good security I would go for the CLIFFORD CONCEPT 650P MK11. Sigma are the pro fit only side of toad
  2. We're abouts in Essex are you russ? I work and keep my Z in basildon
  3. I would still opt for the clifford tho because of the proximity sensor so you can have armed with the roof off. I can supply and fit the toad or the clifford with the turbo timer bit working from £260 to £290 aswell:innocent:
  4. The toad alarm has 2 immobiliser cuts and as a rule this would be starter and fuel pump. This would stop the turbo timer working as car won't get fuel. A clifford alarm is always starter and ignition circuit as this is how there designed. Using a relay for the extra current load through the ignition a toad can be installed in the same way so the turbo timer would work still and the alarm would be active. You could even take off the turbo timer and have a built in timer off the toads remote ie Before you switch off ign and get out of the car you could press the 2 bottom remote buttons together which then activates the pre set timer in the alarm which means when you take the key out the ignition the car is still running. You then get out shut the door and lock as usual and walk away knowing the cars locked and armed. After the pre set time elapses the car will shut down still locked and armed Viola!
  5. Fit a clifford and program it too work as a turbo timer so car is locked and armed while running then shuts down after the pre programmed time Paul
  6. The original pads were carbon/Kevlar or something like that for £175!

  11. No, it's just the grooves are nearly worn away? The calipers aswell have a really annoying creak when you push the brake at slow speeds and standing. Only had the car a week and I'm gonna be taking it too bits already!
  12. As above, does it look worn out?
  13. There in a box somewhere so ill ratch it out
  14. Mines had a full engine rebuild just over 12 months ago at a cost of £2700 and is in good condition. It's black with black/red electric leather interior, toyosport exhaust etc but I'm still struggling to get £1600 for it! The fact that there even worse than the Z on fuel doesn't help either. I get about 230 mile to a tank!
