  1. i've had both. my scoob was insane ,loud, spacious and i loved it until i went on a weekend away via the mways. then that was the end of it. i needed a car that gave that feel good thing so i tried a 300. i definately like the 300 more. its lovely on the mway. and more fun at low speeds!
  2. hello there . !!!! more z owners ,i like it.
  3. could be as little as a coolant problem or as bad as needing a gasket kit. you'll just have to have a look and let us know your progress as i'm interested in the faults and finding them on the 31. cos i'll be getting one also.
  4. just unplug and there's nothing else to do with wiring?
  5. after deleting stuff in wings and capping off pipes that lead to solenoids? on bulk head. can they be thrown away ? what do you do with wiring if so? any links on how to?
  6. phd and reflex are both excellent imo. you can usually find reflex at a lower price than phd too. even though the results are the same. if you also research all foods you'll actually find that you can obtain a better protien diet as a veggy. knowledge is power! keep it up mate.
  7. gonna go for dyno to find out what power is. so i'm not gonna guess. suppose i could do with a really dry day for a start. !!!!! probably not the time of year to be driving the z
  8. so go for a weighty install in the boot.?
  9. i've done na diff and subframe swap spoiler removed ,wiper and boot lid weight. so could be that then. if i go for some heavy wheels would that be the way to go?
  10. as much as its fun to get the tail out. theres time when you want to move . like when your fightin to keep it straight and a corsa is pulling away! it might be down to the conditions on the roads at the mo, but its just got me wondering about possible gains with traction improvement. since the diff clutch and gearbox plus all the lighter pulley stuff ,i really feel the z power but alot of its wasted through the poor grip. my tyres are 9and 3/4 inch wide all round at present.
  11. bring back hanging i say! sorry to hear that mate.
  12. at best we get a few weeks when the weather is blistering, lovely i mean. i feel the cool air for the rest of the year!!! why spoil it.enjoy the humidity i say.its a rarety
  13. hello 'welcome and good luck on the hunt.
  14. just get a belt that says pk3 dave mate. job done well that way. coudn't get to the car tonight to check belt numbers. they are same size belt but one is pk3 the other pk4.
  15. the autobox even now don't do as they should in one way or another on brand new cars that you can pay over 100,000 for. they delibrately have safety delay features and in some cases just delay in responding. i've nothing against z autos as they are a very nice drive.mine was. :cool2:
  16. its only cos i'm impatient i suppose. waiting for the autobox to react did my nut in most of the time. but when i wanted that stable nice cruise i admit the box was great. but on the whole it didn't keep me 100% happy. all of the time.
  17. i found that the autobox is unpredictable especially if you like to pull a few manouvers(on private land) so i had to bin the box and lob in a manual . much better imo. the only plus i had when it was an auto.was launching. this is only my opinion though.
  18. delete. roofs off for cool air. heater on to demist windows.especially delete if you are going for lighter bottom pulley.
  19. i personally dropped the whole subframe with engine on . but i assume you are pulling engine up. you need to drop the prop and gearbox imo. and there shoudn't be any oil from back of gearbox.unless seal has gone on rear box bearing. good luck and hope all goes according to plan mate.
  20. hello and welcome . any pics?
  21. its located near b pillar under plastics at side of rear seats. behind driver . (i think) other side if not!
  22. i know other cars have these. its only because i've seen ad for a z that had problems with an apparent ig amp problem. so thought i'd kill two birds one stone. just put it out there as 1 a possible route 2 to see if z have them
