right then me and my love are in a bit of a dispute. the z is gonna have a transformers emblem on either gearstick or centre steering wheel. i reckon decepticon......she reckons autobot..... what do you?

i was feeling rather smug that i'd bagged a solid low miles z for peanuts. it was an auto tt with faded paint and needing the obvious manual conversion. i dropped lucky on a shared donor car buy, then got cracking with the work planned.na diff/ box,undersealed,suspension change ,air filter the usual. i got this far as i say feeling pretty smug that all this was achieved under the price of 1500. but then i bought dump valves and tonight a short shifter and gearstick top .then next week its the front mount . then the paint.then the wheels............yes i've just come back to reality and realised the car is gonna cost a fortune!!!!!! f**k , afterthought...big brakes!!!! can anyone do me a loan ????

i know exactly what the problem is there. ....... its not lining up!lol. just try to smile change your methods and don't spit the dummy. for now its laughing at you. but your time will come mate. good luck. oh i f***ing hate working on these cars!

i'm manual. for certain now she's in safety boost. i need to sort it cos i much prefer the car being a handful lol

love the car but surely one day i'll be able to come home and not need to do a job on her. the list seems to grow ,never shrink!!!!

this car is gonna be the bain of my life. !!!! bought her as an auto tt and coudn't find anything wrong. but now i've replaced all running gear with manual na plus all the easy mods...air filter,pulleys ,exhaust etc. deleted loads and now i want to get onto the next job she gives me another! anyway i've found a 35mm in diameter hose near egr ,behind plenum that needs replacing. can this hose be done without plenum pull?

i am in total agreement with you mate. i know it may read as a frustrated post. it wasn't , it was worded in a way and titled to get attention. it worked thankfully.which i'm greatful for.as i also said in the post positive things of the club no negatives . if anything it just shows what i am as a person.....impatient. thanks anyway redwine,i appreciate your constructiveness. lee

i've written a book on it today mate on recent posts.

i'm not moaning. but i'm quite suprised that after hunting and posting that no one seems to know what to do with the solenoids on the z 32. surely someone knows. so many in the club have rebuilt their cars. therefor this made me assume i may get help or advice. i will add that i'm useless with computers but have tried various tech pages to no avail. after subscribing to the club i have found its a great community with much more than a handfull of good folk. back on subject though. i need z einstien folk are there any?:smartass:

there's three solenoids under the bonnet. one near the battery and two together on the opposite side. is the one near the battery an aiv solenoid? also one on opposite side aiv too. and the remaining solenoid is egr ? can all of these be unplugged once hoses have been sorted? looked through robos tech its not specific enough for me on this subject. please help
