  1. i'm not going for painting it inside and out as i'm not changing the colour. so the quotes for a good paint job are always 1000 /2000. i thought wraps were straight forward but after seeking thorough advise its now clear that it aint so cut and dry. apparantly a quality wrap can last 7 to ten years. (which i frowned upon) but the real professionals use infra red lighting after climatising the car to the material. watched one job in action, impressive stuff.but mighty expensive when done properly. i can get it wrapped for 400/600 but there's none of this equipment invoved . so i don't think i'll bother with the cheap route now.
  2. well ...today i thought i'd go see about some prices for paint or wrap. didn't realise the work and equipment involved for a quality wrap! paint was the usual quotes 1000 to 2500. but rumour told me you can get a wrap for 400 ish. well that turned out to be way off. 1500 to 2500 for a properly done wrap! well **ck that. may as well get her painted.
  3. thats the one ! wow my memory can be shockin!

  10. effin amazin work. looks like the view is spot on too.
  11. :cool2:the z offers much more as a car than a scoob wagon. speaking from experience as that was my last motor. the z is beautiful on the motorway the scoob was hell... the nissan lwb z offers best of both i feel. slightly lacking on the handling side ,but makes up for it with its grunt ,style, and the mpg is fantastic compared to the scoob.anyway you asked why woudn't i buy these....purely because they are swb and i've got 2 kids.
  12. whats your recommendation? as at the mo i'm on standards, and don't know what can be squeezed in. i'll be using 17"minimum rims 18"max.....al i know is that i urgently need traction!!!!
  13. not that much of a difference at 70 to complain about. i,ve gone from autobox to manual box so i can't really judge. cos i did the rear sub and diff swap at same time as conversion. i'm only going on what other people have said.
  14. you'll definately be pleased with the results. when yous do it. now the problem is getting the power down to the road! do you reckon 10" wide tyres will do?
  15. true . i'm a 0 to 60 guy myself. not into the top end figures i feel its pointless and trouble on uk roads.
  16. apparantlly the na tops out at 165? enough i feel but is this true?
  17. completed all the manual conversion. replaced complete subframe and diff. just wanted to say wow......the difference is unreal. she now a scary bit of kit. pulls through the gears so rapidly with this setup. definately need some good wide wheels! i had a subaru that was around 400bhpish it ate many of machine but i reckon it would be no match for the twin turbo na diff set up!
  18. have right ones.......but doesn't it cause spiking on boost or too much?
  19. can anyone give the facts as to the risks and purpose of using those jet thingys on the z?
  20. the bracket runs down to the side of block or head. the drivers side is very difficult to get to.there's two to undo but you can get them from top with lots of patience! undo the recirc 8mm fixing bolts which allows you access to bracket bolts. then the passenger side is even more difficult. i could only get to mine from underneath because i've removed aircon. imo i dont think you can get to the passenger side bottom bracket bolts without removing aircon pump.
  21. i know where there's a saab 95 2litre turbo 500 quid. good car just wheels a bit tatty. t&t'd
  22. dora the explorer,barbie(for4plus) scooby doo,spongebob,shrek,...............
