  3. Ohhh NZ summer, yeah been alright here this year bit more rain than usual but the water tank is on the brink so 'twas needed. For your enjoyment ill post a pic looking out from the bottom of the garden. One more of the beach @ the end of my street i took a walk down to last week...
  4. Finally got the pics off her phone of her with the car, and yes i had just spent 2 hours attacking the car with a buffing wheel lol
  5. I think a drag race is in order.
  6. Blimin heck the 350z is barely out of production, our old z32s are classics... 350z uhhhh... give it another 10 years? i dont ever really see them being a proper "classic" car...
  7. Thanks for the wicked response. I've got the cams already sitting here but wasnt sure how they would perform going into an n/a engine, rocker covers are already off for paint so wouldn't take me long to swap em over, from what you're saying would you say a 20hp gain is pissing in the wind? i figure i would get a better gain from them over the stock cams once i get some aftermarket headers on to go with my existing full exhaust and pod filter. But if even with that i'm only going to get a few hp gain i don't see much point. Are there any other side effects to be had ie fuel consumption?
  8. Smells* that was the word i was after... across 2 keys and up... *facepalm*
  9. fiddly job to do that with the column in the car though. pretty easy to get the column out, about a 30 minute job all up to remove old one and fit the replacement. Now fitting the door locks... That requires somebody with small hands that smalls like cabbage. It's a shame mikey no longer lives with them :whistling:
  10. you able to do a fairlady Z glare strip in reverse to go on inside top of front windscreen? silver main banner with cut out fairlady Z then another layer of black to go behind it?
  11. Also if i was going for an ECU chip in the near future would i want an auto or manual chip with these cams fitted?
  12. Have heard mixed views on this come people say i will gain 20hp some say i will lose power. I have a set of factory twin turbo manual cams, thinking of putting them into my n/a auto. Anything really to be gained?
  13. Looks fine, just check for up an down play or harder to move in certain spots. From the movements you were doing look fine though.
  14. Done it myself, take the 4 small nails out then heat the edge with a heat gun to softer the glue/sealer. Then pry the tabs carefully and it comes apart, then just spray it black and sand the raised lettering, bang in a CCFL tube/ led's and you're good to go.
  15. Done... My FB: http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=639130275 300ZX owners page: http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/256996831013952/
  16. Post a pic and we can help a bit more, You should be fine with lowest or highest click on stock shocks, with adjustable coilovers you never set damping lowest or highest or the adjuster jams.
  17. The box you're talking about is under the instrument cluster cover... That one is for reversing beep and speed alert... I just ditched the speed alert wire. Green from memory.
  18. I'll put my hand up as the charity... i need turbos.... and a manual conversion... 'n' a puppy.
  19. Welcome to the club man, missus just got a black Z herself, i really shouldn't fall in love with black z's with my impending respray. it's oh so tempting.
  20. BMW's are great when they are going, but if you're tight on cash i wouldnt touch one with a pole because they really arn't cheap to fix when they break, as they say the more tech there is the more there is to break, thats what made the classic mini such an amazing car... so easy to fix... infact we once changed a wheel on my old mini on the roadside.... the 3 passengers held the corner up while i changed it because i had no jack lol.
  21. Does any1 no if he had his roof camera on coz i would love that footage chbunyips 1 hour ago @chbunyips When I talked to Steve he said he wasn't going to post the go pro footage at the moment because it would just inflamed the situation on both sides. The situation has been basically resolved to the satisfaction of both parties now and they're moving on.
  22. Trying to find it myself, my bet is they deleted it when they towed the car.
  23. I think he kind of proved his point though, the car didn't go up in a massive ball of flames....
  24. I think he was basing it off principle, i've had run ins with scrutineers before giving me hell about things that just dont matter because thier mates didnt want me on the track with them.
