1. At least Iraq has the weapons of mass destruction required to destroy all the saxo's... O wait...
2. Do you know the reason for the ban?
3. You could always do what a fella i talk to in sweden did... Hes a sponsered motard rider so stuck 1500 studs in the rear and 900 studs in the front of some old slicks xD
4. Yeap same with my mate, always wants something better, always wants more more more, yet not willing to work for it... I've tried to give him a real world reality check, i'm slowly getting through... i think.
5. I really enjoyed my old n/a, and while building my TT project a mate said oh come take my tt zed for a drive and a slide to see what you think of HICAS (was trying to convince me to keep HICAS) In the dry it was great provided you kept it in line, but hell the moment i cut it loose its just like you say, it steps out and you correct it and she just snaps back the other way, it was fine on a mild stepout, but that feeling just isn't right when the car is sliding, the HICAS got binned the moment i got home
6. Yeah i was thinking the wider tyres would be the main cause of what you said regarding the alfa as it probably runs something like a 195-215? my 285's admittedly get pretty squirrely in the wet.
7. A properly set up Z to be honest will out handle most cars on the road, sure it'll kick its arse out if you don't handle it right but the weight balance is damn near 50/50 so if you can handle it you got more chance than in an alfa. I've totalled a Z in the wet and it took a hell of alot to lose it, ie i was drifting at 90mph... but many a time at sensible speed i had her kick her arse out on mossy roads in the wet etc, so long as you don't lift off the pedal and don't over counter it they are pretty predicatable. Well unless you have HICAS... then you're definately screwed once things start getting sideways.
8. I genuinely do like the paintwork... But it's a bit like rolling a turd in glitter.
9. Oh cmon now... my car will get around fine and its skirts are just shy of 3 inches off the ground, it will dislike speedbumps though.... driveways... Going to be alot of roadkill though lol
10. Yeah top gear tomtom is the one i was looking at, just saw it in a catalogue and went hmmm, could i really justify the extra if i were to buy one. I got a map book i'll be right :detective:
11. The paintwork isn't the problem, heck i can ALMOST tolerate the tail lights. But the wing the bodykit, and wheels with the monster truck ride height. Each to thier own. The 300zx is a beautiful car, but if you want to make it ugly there are people who will help you.
12. Alrighty i'll sort it out in the new year when i make all my order from rich etc, christmas has got me skint. Cheers mate :D
13. I can't expect you guys to cover that as it's not really fair, i will be buying some stuff off twinturborich in the new year, perhaps you could send the stuff to him to send with my order? If thats easier?
14. I was trying to justify the extra 40 quid on a top gear edition sat nav i saw in a catalogue yesterday, top gear logo's and clarkson directions in it... i guess they justify the price given clarksons social status.
15. I probably would've burnt that car out myself to raise Z values. That thing was an abomination, good riddance.
16. Sounds like a close call... but i mean, you were driving an alfa, they dont handle like z's xD. Glad to hear ya okay though mate.
17. I assume most will already know about these 2 sites but good none the less... Everything you could ever need to know, mostly write ups from twinturbo.net http://www.ttxtz.com/tech.html Service manual download. http://galenadrive.com/300zx/
18. Save the pic you bellend! :2guns: sites dissapear
19. Oh yes it's turning into a very large folder at my end too, but at least ya have it when ya need it... Eventually i'll have a netbook in the car running conzult so i'll put all the files there, then i can always bring up the manual if it breaks in the middle of nowhere, i always keep a socket set, screwdrivers and a gas soldering iron in the car. I'm pedantic i know lol
20. Jealousy is a bitch aint it. My best mate is lucky like that, middle eastern etc, daddy bought him a brand new apartment this year, and last year a brand new cbr1000rr.
21. Oh yes, we must protect our 100% pure tourism image. :xxx:
22. Thought some may want this wiring diagram i found today, full colour and covers ecu loom, and harness that runs around front of car, gearbox, lights, relay box etc. http://www.karljapetre.com/z/ecu/eccs-color.gif Perhaps mods may want to sticky it somewhere?
23. Haha no theres a little more forward thinking than that but i'm sure you can figure out for yourself, i'm just throwing the idea to those interested.
