  1. Just read the leaky rad... FACEPALM.
  2. Yeap you've done ya heads in sadly, check all your water pipes when you have it apart, heater hoses and especially the pipes under the plenum that run to the throttle bodies, also check turbo water lines etc. as you most likely lost water that way causing the heads to blow. Sucks i know but you can build it better, stronger... faster!
  3. Fun fact... Sub a r u .... backwards :P
  4. I suspect its more of a global thing lol
  5. So i shouldn't have given my details then?
  6. Yeah but unplugged ecu gets no signal from it, and you have the misfire problem still so it would seem your o2's are dead as doornails. thats what i would be looking into further... If you have already done the AFM and PTU then there arn't too many options left. Have you checked the timing, and what about the CAS? As a base point you want the upper left mounting bolt in the middle of it's slot. Also have you checked for cracking in your coilpacks?
  7. You're giving me the disapproving get a manual look my friends give me arn't you
  8. But i would also suspect your AFM and PTU.
  9. If unplugging the o2 sensor made no difference... then its a dead o2...
  10. My auto box might be unhappy with me if i give it a clutch :crying: I have a feeling i know the next mod you will suggest to me. But i can buy a nissan 4.1 litre v8 that will bolt straight onto the stock Z autobox for the same price as a manual conversion... As much as i would love to have it manual, a v8 auto would probably give me more enjoyment, alas its alot of mucking about to do the swap. decisions decisions. Also heard many a story of manual gearboxes crunching so buying a manual conversion i don't really know what i'm getting.
  11. Oh ok, thanks for the info man :D Is there much else i can really do to the n/a apart from getting a underdrive pulley? I've already got a pod filter, full decat exhaust (headers next year), i've removed AIV, PCV, EGR, and PRVR... Apart from porting and polishing is there really much else i can do, i assume its not worth bothering with injectors.
  12. Definition in bold and red.
  13. Probably cost a heap i can get just the chip here for about 50 quid... I'm still struggling to grasp how you pulled those numbers on the dyno! had you dyno'd the car prior to the chip at any point?
  14. Just got this email, i'm stoked! You are a Winner of a BMW X6 Concept Car and a £750,000.00GBP. with Ticket number: 22 5954 78 and Serial number:BMWP / S-A-M 7554-1189 Contact Mr Larry Quester, with your Fullname:Country:Telephone no:Age: Email:larry.quester@gmx.co.uk I'm amazed i don't even remember entering this!
  15. Can't really do that from the other side of the planet unfortunately. Any reason for having the ability to swap back to the stock map?
  16. Oh thats cool how would i go about setting that up? i thought the new chip replaced the stock one?
  17. Oh damn you why must you tempt me with more items from rich! In regards to the lighting, i'd be setting it up much like the rest of the gauges, in the way that the numbers light up you'll need a slighty smoked clear plastic, you could stick an LED behind but it might be very bright sitting that close to the lettering, so perhaps try sink them further back in the unit, you may also want to put them on a seperate dimmer so you can tweak the brightness to your liking, you could link into the existing dimmer but if they end up brighter than the rest you wont be able to dim them down without making the rest of the guages barely lit.
  18. I notice it says dual mapped ecu? whats the story with that? 263 @ the wheels?!?! Thats pretty insane for such little modding as the factory spec is only 222@the flywheel.
  19. In the flesh so to speak it's absolutely mind blowing, full lift pump set up in the boot with all billet alloy cnc wording engraved pieces and all sorts, external damper coilovers etc etc...
  20. I'm going to 2nd that motion as they are flippin awesome.
  21. What are ya running in the way of engine mods?, exhaust intake etc.
  22. I suspect it was more so for strength than the few grams of weight saved :pinch: Well and the fact they look flippin awesome.
  23. Titanium key came with the earlier z's, they stopped making them after a while to drop production cost... you can buy copies of them now for around 20 quid.
  24. Been looking at ecu chip for the n/a They say that with a free flowing exhaust and free flowing air filter i should see a 20whp gain... Seems a heck of a gain, so is it just spin or will the new map in the chip really give me a decent gain... Also would they be meaning 20whp gain on top of what ive already got with the filter and exhaust or all up? contemplating getting some headers next year as well. Imagine there isnt really much more i can do beyond that to squeeze more poke out of the n/a?
  25. I never took you as the type to go for a flat paint job mr polisher
