Rear wing repair
Cheers Stuart! I've had a look under the wheel arch and the dent is a little too high to be accessible from under there. Take a look at http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/429/Rear_wing.jpg I think that I'm going in through the boot! Not sure how to go about it though.... Any thoughts? Cheerz Steve

Rear wing repair
Just got the Z back from SE yesterday and it's running great. New ICE fitted and working well - life couldn't be much better! Then... Backing out of the garage today and I've caught a dustbin (left out by my neighbour!) between the rear wing and the wall of the house! No major damage to the paint, but I now have a visible indent in the rear wing above the rear wheel arch!   Anyone know how I can get "inside" the rear wing to pop it out again. I assume that I need to go through the boot to get to it... Any help appreciated! Cheerz Steve

Something about zeds and radar detectors
I've got a list of false signal frequencies somewhere and I might get round to reprogramming it soon! I'll let you know how I get on... Cheerz Steve (Soon to be banned thanks to his radar detector not working properly ;) :D )

Something about zeds and radar detectors
Hi Trev I've got a Bel 550 and they will only alert you if the hand held trigger is pulled. Otherwise the gun isn't emitting any signal... I've been very happy with mine - good advance Gatso warning and it's saved me a couple of times from mobile speed traps. :D :D :D Have you bothered to disable any of the frequencies on yours? Some false signals (petrol station automatic doors etc..) can be a PITA. If you have done this maybe we could swap notes... Cheerz Steve

Do you speed?
Like Dan, I've been caught a few times by the boys in blue. It's not just the points and the £40 fine though. I got 3 points for doing 42 in a 30 zone in 2000 and this has added a total of almost £250 to my insurance premiums since. I appreciate the need for speed limits and I generally drive carefully and only open up on roads I know well. Let's face it, if you own a Z, it's hard not to... :D :D :D Cheerz Steve

OEM Part No
I've dug out my original Nissan invoice and the part number shown is N2659030P01. As I remember, this had to be ordered from Japan. Hope this helps! Cheerz Steve

Titanium Key
I bought a new titanium key with my Z in 1997 from a UK Nissan main dealer. The part number on the invoice is indeed KEY0000111 and it cost me £57 plus the VAT. Cheerz Steve

Help a new Z owner
Hi Shahid and welcome! I live just up the road from Jock. Had my Z for over 6 years and I'm still looking for a good local Jap mechanic! I've been travelling up to SE Nissan (Essex) for the past couple of years and they've done good work for me to date. Some forum members have had problems with them but so far I've been happy! My Z is with them at the moment so I'll update you when I pick it up on Saturday... ;) Cheerz Steve

Help for a new convert! Hurrah!
I'd personally go for a newer unmodded car. That way at least you know the history and (hopefully) that it hasn't been too badly thrashed... IMHO... Steve

350Z Roadster announced
Got an e-mail from Nissan USA this morning with details and pics of next year's 350Z Roadster. I know that the 350 has had a mixed reception here, but interested to hear what people think of this flavour... http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/FutureModelHomePage/0,3210,24842,00.html?Site=N04FUTE0303AAH00&Area=01&Creative=04 Be aware that the site requires Flash and can be painful on a slow connection... Best Colour
Red (my first Z) has got to be the colour to have! My current Z is grey and I'm not quite as happy with it as I was the first one... A little bit too understated :( Must agree with Markyb300 tho, his bayside blue respray looks the nuts! :D :D :D Cheerz Steve

Oh F**K it sub problems
Hi Simon Do you have the rear "roller blind" drawn over your sub? This causes major rattles in my boot as I think I told you at Bolney :(. Try it with the blind off to see if it sounds any different... Cheers Steve

Yep Stuart. Have got a laptop. I assume it uses a 9 pin serial port and comes with the necessary cable and software? Steve
