  1. Hi Andy Not many good garages/mechanics round our way that I know of. You may want to take a look at Abbey Motorsport (http://www.abbeymotorsport.co.uk/) who are just outside London (can be expensive though). It really depends what you want doing (general servicing or performance mods). Abbey are better for mods IMO. The online manual that Ajay mentioned is here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/cgi-bin/manual.cgi HTH! Cheerz Steve

  5. Hi m8 I've just PM'd Konrad who organised the group buy. He speaks to Luke frequently so hopefully we'll get an update soon! Cheerz Steve
  6. SE's current catalogue quotes £1400 for the fast road rebuild plus £250 for removal/refitting (includes transmission oil refill). You may also need to replace your autobox oil cooler which is about £249 plus £49 fitting. Cheerz Steve
  7. I was going to watch this! *****cks to him, I'm off down the pub instead.. :D :D :D
  8. Hi Chris I've had the Bel Euro 550 for about 18 months now. I've had two other models previously and it's the best one I've used. It's more expensive than some but it's totally configurable (even down to disabling certain frequencies if required). Excellent product with good range and UK compatibility. You can get them from Bel Direct on the net for just over £300 - http://www.beldirect.co.uk/bel550.htm Also, Jaffa is selling his here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20636 HTH! 9. 3 votes now! C'mon you beige... :D :D :D
  10. They have now :D :D :D I like beige... Off to PPS soon for my full beige respray and beige interior! Steve
  11. This is the best Z32 forum on the net IMHO. I occasionally use others for reference but I check back here 2 or 3 times a day. I've been to a few meets and met some great people. It has a membership with a huge amount of technical knowledge. It also makes me LOL frequently! The Admins and Mods do a great and thankless job. Of course it's never going to reclaim the exciting and ground breaking feeling it had when it was started, but that's life. All things (including internet forums) evolve and move on eventually. It's up to us (the members) to decide on which way it should be going... Cheerz Steve
  12. Jock, PM me if you need a hand. I'm off on hols tomorrow at 10:30am but can pop round early if you need me. Cheerz Steve
  13. Hi Dan AP Racing do a 315mm disc which is suitable for stock Z wheels. SE supply the whole kit for about £900 (01621 858856). See AP's web site at http://www.apracing.com/car/brakekit/disc.htm Cheerz Steve

A man calls in sick one morning. His boss is quite p*ssed off and grabs the phone from his secretary to speak to the employee. "Yes I know you're not feeling well, but how sick are you?" he asks. "Well, I'm in bed shagging my sister" he replies. "Is that sick enough for you...?" :D :D :D
  15. Ahhh - just found Mac's AMG thread! Good work fella.... Steve
  16. How did you get on Mac? I know that they are v quick motors :D :D :D
  17. All it had on the back was the AMG badge and "230". I didn't get a good look at the front of it - seemed quick though... ;)
  18. Not sure I've seen one of these before - not very sporty looking but it had a fair bit of grunt! He started in front of me as we came off the M25 onto the A22 towards Croydon. Stopped at the lights on the roandabout then off we went - road goes into two lanes and turns into dual carriageway! I indicate to overtake him and as I do he indicates and cuts me up! Then it's foot to the floor in second and third and I'm right behind him, change up to fourth and he finally relents and pulls in to let me pass (approx 110). Didn't see him again... :D :D :D ;) Another kill for the Zed community... Cheerz Steve PS. Also did an Audi TT tonight but not really worth mentioning... ;)
  19. I've mounted mine above the rear view mirror, but to save the mess of wiring, I've simply soldered it directly into the courtesy light circuit (standard 12V). This way, it's got better reception, it's more visible to you (the driver) and it's less noticable to thieves who might want to nick it! It's a quick and painless job. Be aware however, that this circuit is live all the time so you need to switch the detector on and off manually... ;) Cheerz Steve
  20. I knew I should have stayed in bed this morning! Cheerz though fellas! Steve
  21. Cheers Stuart! I've had a look under the wheel arch and the dent is a little too high to be accessible from under there. Take a look at http://rides.300zx.co.uk/rides/429/Rear_wing.jpg I think that I'm going in through the boot! Not sure how to go about it though.... Any thoughts? Cheerz Steve
  22. Just got the Z back from SE yesterday and it's running great. New ICE fitted and working well - life couldn't be much better! Then... Backing out of the garage today and I've caught a dustbin (left out by my neighbour!) between the rear wing and the wall of the house! No major damage to the paint, but I now have a visible indent in the rear wing above the rear wheel arch!   Anyone know how I can get "inside" the rear wing to pop it out again. I assume that I need to go through the boot to get to it... Any help appreciated! Cheerz Steve
  23. I've got a list of false signal frequencies somewhere and I might get round to reprogramming it soon! I'll let you know how I get on... Cheerz Steve (Soon to be banned thanks to his radar detector not working properly ;) :D )
  24. Years inside: 61 Potential Fine: £7000. No death penalty though! :D :D :D Steve
  25. Hi Trev I've got a Bel 550 and they will only alert you if the hand held trigger is pulled. Otherwise the gun isn't emitting any signal... I've been very happy with mine - good advance Gatso warning and it's saved me a couple of times from mobile speed traps. :D :D :D Have you bothered to disable any of the frequencies on yours? Some false signals (petrol station automatic doors etc..) can be a PITA. If you have done this maybe we could swap notes... Cheerz Steve
