  1. The paint looks outstanding! I would have kept the orange over the bonnet with no stripes personally but looks great regardless! When you get it back get some shots of the back up
  2. Don't worry I just saw it's Nottingham in the traders sections
  3. Where's it based? Best of luck and judging by Boldy's old Zed there are going to be some stonking Zeds in the scene soon!
  4. Do you get any extra noise with the carbon boot lid? Presumably having polycarb windows eliminates the heated rear screen but do you even need it with polycarb?
  5. What have you done to drop the weight that much Pete? Has Bob or James ever considered a carbon boot lid, they're supposed to save a fair few kilos although pretty expensive?
  6. Did you get this all sorted mate, im presuming so as you were at JAE? What was the verdict?
  7. I think that video of James following Bob really shows how fast the racing is, really put some reality to it. You two have some seriously fast cars and skill to drive like that, fair play
  8. Get some pics up of the Zed and the NSX Dan:balloon:
  9. I had a big poster of the XJ220 and the Ferrari F40 clock from Argos that everyone had
  10. Sod the first one Rob, overpriced and potential financial beating to get it running right. IMO for the money and time it will take to get it running right based on what he said let alone all the other niggles that will definitely come along, it's just easier to buy one that works with an MOT and tax.
  11. Wow they sound epic. Then again you'll only ever hear the bad reviews on an insurance review site. That said, there's 111 people that positively hate Markerstudy!
  12. Agreed, takes away any class it has and makes it look like a boy racer owns it
  13. No it was my daily insured with them. Only problem I had was the douch from Sky insurance lying to me about the 'accelerated no claims' that I mentioned in your thread a few months ago. I also had loads of the details recorded wrong on the paperwork when it arrived
  14. That's who I was with on my last insurance policy
  15. Very annoying for you Vig, who's the underwriter making the decisions?
  16. Well I told him yesterday in this thread, and put up a picture! :tt2: The sealant is normal, there isn't a gasket there that I know of. Check the condition of the metal pipes as well and replace if needed while it's all apart as these can fail. MJP in the trader section can sort you new metal pipes and rubber hoses. SFS can do you silicon hoses which i've just put on mine and if you're skint i've got a couple of spare metal pipes in reasonable condition
  17. Looks wet in there as well so my money's on one of those short rubber hoses. Start striping it down and have a look
  18. My plate has nothing to stop it spinning behind the pulley either Dan. I've not put my underdrive pulley on yet but unless that pinches it between itself and the crank timing sprocket then it will be free to spin
  19. Call Mike the site sponsor 'MJP Auto' on 01277 374201 he'll have one out to you next day if he has what you need in stock
  20. There are two short hoses that connect the block to the hardpipes at the front of the engine that feed the radiator. You can see below where they would go just above the water pump. If it's not one of them it could be the seal around the waterpump or thermostat I guess. I'd compression test it and check to see if the plugs are wet.
  21. The loose pipes at the front can come out and jam the throttle open so make sure they are secure before driving it again
  22. This is the only one I know of Dave, from the USA http://specialtyz.com/shop/default/300zx/engine/sz-vg30de-tt-oil-pan.html
  23. Cool, how much is it? Do you know what the 0800 numbers actually cost on your contract? I worked mine out at about 24p a minute! Bloody ridiculous Couldn't justify it myself but that sounds very reasonable for two phones unlimited. Like Tomo said, only drug dealers have two phones:lol: Never knew that, my sister works in the offices for May Gurney who do the kerbside collections for the council so i'll see if that counts lol. What I was originally thinking was basically calling Orange and saying 'so-and-so does this contract please match it' which they will as I get good coverage with them, been with them about 10 years and never had a problem apart from the outrageous £33 bill!
  24. I wouldn't have thought so mate, you'd be smacking valves into pistons if it was that far out
  25. Have any of you guys got a mobile contract the cheaper end of the scale that doesn't give you a free phone? I have an iPhone 4 and a monthly rolling contract with Orange that gives me 500 texts and 300 minutes (no data) for about £11 a month which I rarely go over. I got caught out on a bank holiday a month ago when my alternator went and after spending nearly 2 hours on the phone to the RAC's 0800 number my bill had tripled as 0800 numbers are not included in free minutes FFS! I'm after something with a bit of data as well now I think but how much do I need for checking emails and the forums etc each month?
