  1. Are you making that under tray for it as well Pete?
  2. Looks awesome, nice work guys. Is that the first Zed you've done since opening the new business?
  3. Look at this photo, directly under the bolt highlighted in green there is a blank in the turbo oil feed. Mine didn't have one as that was the feed used for the old turbos but it seems to be an oddball size between M8/M10. I will have to get one from Mike but im wondering what it's purpose is? Second question is i've just mounted the turbos and the oil drain pipes don't line up with the tubes on the sump, they are sitting slightly lower. Is that normal? I've got MSP manifolds so im wondering if they have placed the turbos off, has anyone experienced this?
  4. Nice one cheers Neither of us have sent alloys before so I said i'd find out as loads exchange hands on here so someone would know
  5. Agreed that was the first thing I thought when I read Si's post! Cars look so much better without them
  6. I'm buying some alloys with tyres for my car, can anyone recommend the best way to package them for shipping? I'm thinking a piece of cardboard front and back with loads of parcel tape all around?
  7. Here's my fave, love the first post as well
  8. Awesome stuff, I find it very interesting to see how you do about doing the different tasks as i've never seen any bodywork being done before
  9. Looks great, can you post a video to hear how it sounds?
  10. I just had the joy of dismantling the rear door to get get access to the door control module that failed and locked the door shut just in time for the MOT lol, in my hast to get it done so I could leave for work across the country I didn't take any pictures of how it went together and can't find a picture of the window regulator layout for the back lol, fun times ahead
  11. What MK did you have before? Mines a MK1 and it's just crap in terms of build quality. Boot and nearly every door seal is leaking, intercooler pipes won't seal properly onto the intercooler and loads of other niggles. Supposed to be the same platform as the MK4 Golf but i've never heard of anyone with one have these problems.
  12. I made an error a while back putting my tubs onto my manifolds before putting them onto the block not realising you can't access a bolt underneath. The pressed steel gasket between manifold-turbo and turbo-elbow has been squashed so do I need to replace them or can I reuse them. The mounting faces were all very clean before clamping them previously
  13. Constant rain South of Bristol for a few hours now but no wind at all. Pretty warm as well
  14. What did that set you back inc. postage?
  15. Nice one thanks for that, will probably end up using someone back in Somerset now but will bear it in mind if it stays up there.
  16. Just watched it on Chrome. Very good! Here's one of my favs
  17. Yeah from what I understand they are one or the other. Never heard about that issue myself
  18. Can't help exactly but the heads are stamped L40P for the engines 89 to 95 and L48P for 95+ engine
  19. Yeah already had a look at them but it doesn't help me get the rest of my stuff back and reluctant to do 2 trips as its 500miles but I might just have to suck it up
  20. When I had my car moved originally someone tried to do it with one of those but there was no way it was going to go on, couldn't even get the rear wheels on the ramp. Because I want to move the spare engine back as well along with the gearbox etc and already have a boot full of interior bits and need to bring back some building tools I need either a van or 4x4 I think.
  21. Cheers Mark. Im moving back to Somerset mate although im having major problems finding a van for hire with a towbar!
  22. Take measurements of the inside diameter and the distance between the centres of the bolt holes and compare on ebay items or ask your exhaust shop for those sizes
