  1. Thanks for letting us know Daz. Yeah ebay cables do seem like to much hassle hence why I'd decided on an ECU talk cable as well. What did it set you back?
  2. Not for me thanks Tony I'm sticking with the BGW for now cheers:laugh:
  3. Really nice! What rear spoiler is that?
  4. Thanks Pete, would you say 4.75mm and 6mm are common sizes of pipe? Reason I ask is it's going to be used on many different vehicles ranging from older Healeys, Tr6's etc to modern cars. Any recommendations on a bending tool/kit?
  5. Can anyone recommend a decent kit for fabricating our own brake lines? Cheers
  6. So how did that rear suspension roll point modification you mentioned before work out James?
  7. What kit did you get and where from with the loom?
  8. Aye, I could see the start and finish points but every time I feed them through they didn't sit right but I've got it sorted now cheers, they kind of fell into place without being stressed eventually. I have no W-clip, is it on the subframe or chassis arm? The only clip I have around there is a small one that holds the alternator loom. I love the idea for a 'quick release engine'
  9. Clutch line is sorted now ta, if you could show me the area around the drivers side engine mount where the oil cooler lines join and the inside of the chassis arm facing back to the engine from the hard lines, so I can see how it should sit with the gearbox loom that'd be most awesome....
  10. Yep, that's the same one as me. Yeah, my clutch line is down the bulkhead like yours, I was just having a winge really about the oil cooler pipes as I'd spent ages trying them through different routes and still wasn't sure exactly where they were supposed to sit. If you happen to be under your car later or have another pic of that area could you post it up to help my OCD? :winkiss:
  11. Cheers guys. By short one I meant the single piece Stephen, I thought there was two Hel types, the short direct like I have and the long that is a single piece but follows the factory route. I can't believe how cramped it's getting down there with the clutch line, gearbox loom, turbo oil drain and the oil cooler lines. It took me ages to get the oil lines fed through and I still don't know if I've taken them the right route!
  12. I've upgraded my clutch line to a short HEL braided item. Should it come down and between the gearbox and starter, or loop over the starter?
  13. Cat D's seem to be worth less when it comes to resale
  14. So I got off the rig but it was so delayed we all missed our flights so staying over in Billund for the night. I opened up the door of the heli-lounge last night and was immediately drenched by the immense amount of rain pelting the rig. The whole rig got shut down, nobody allowed on the upper decks. Pssst, Si, Munich's in Germany ;)
  15. Choppers been delayed at least 2 hrs as it's 50knot winds here so even if I get off the rig I'll probably miss my flights home, I could even have to go back to work if my relief can't make it here.....:crying:
  16. Cheers Noel, do you put proper clamps on these or will a tight zip tie do the job?
  17. With reference to this diagram: How many caps do I need of what size? I think it's 4 and 6mm right? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190884491955
  18. I'm on my rig in the middle of the North Sea at the moment and the wind is howling, the rig is shaking and the waves are frickin huge! Before the sun went down we could see the support vessel and it was almost disappearing behind the waves. Due to get a chopper to shore in the morning so hopefully it will have calmed by then and hopefully Schiphol airport will have reopened!
  19. Does it work well Si?
  20. Plus aren't the Eagles and Wisecos lighter than the stock gear anyway?
  21. What power levels have you seen these used up to? I've frequently heard the Cometics are suitable for more than one use, can the stock or Tomei be used again?
  22. I say 100% do it, looks brilliant! Yep, I know what you mean, I like the flat edge around the wheel arch, but think the car looks crap with cambered wheels
