  1. could well have done the seals in the fuel pump, injectors and anything the petrol touches. you might get lucky but if you drove it until it lost power there might be some damage there
  2. id start at the with were the problems started did they start after you changed the interior light or when you started poking around in the fuse box or maybe when you changed the indicator bulb shorts can be a massive headache to nail down so if it all started from the interior light pull it out and have a good look at all the connections/solder joints/wires. in my experiance its normaly something simple like a frayed flex or loose solder joint
  3. could be a crappy earth have you checked the wiring on the indicator bulb you changed
  4. mjp would be a good place to start hes always really helpfull with buying parts

  10. ok did an oil flush and took a pic of the oil pressure on tickover and fully warmed up look ok to you guys?
  11. well i today thought that id give her some more attention and do an oil flush using the wynns stuff so i did a little experement, i bought some cheap halfords oil and droped all the old oil out and put in the new halfords stuff followed by the engine flush just so i could see how much crud came out with the fresh oil anyway i put a dab of fresh oil on a white piece of paper and when i dropped the treated oil i put a dab of that next to it heres a pic of it, quite impressive really bearing in mind this oil was only in the car for the specified 15mins at 2000rpm and it was fresh
  12. id give it 20 mins before this thread is closed lol
  13. as everyone else has said the law os heavily in her favor, for example my company tryed to sack one of the engineers for not picking up his phone or returning calls anyway it went to court and my company lost and had to pay out something like 20k in costs!!! because they had failed to show him how to use the phone! lol, stupid i know but it just proves the point, i reckon your in for an open and shut case tbh.
  14. is there any way that when you did the bypass something solid like a nut or bolt or washer or something could have gotten into the cooling system and be blocking it? ive never done a bypass so i dont know what the chances really are of this happening but anythings worth a shot?
  15. water pipe colapsing under pressure and acting like a valve?
  16. arent the tubs water cooled on a zed? any chance some of that crud that was in the rad has blocked a turbo gallery slowing the flow around the engine and causing the tub to get hotter and therefore the water? just throwing some ideas out there coz it looks like your running out of places to look!!
  17. could stick it on a rolling road then you could more or less do that lol it helped me track down an annoying squeak that i thought was comming from the suspension turned out it was a belt shame i found out after i had the front shocks done
  18. id have thoght it would be missing all the time if there was a break not just under load, i guess it could be the coil pack itself have you tested how far the spark jumps from the spark plug thatll give you an idea of coil strength and have you checked the gapping on the plugs is right?
  19. the spark will always follow the easyist route to earth, i doubt there all knackered tbh you'd have to be pretty damn unlucky!!! if they dont arch when they're in place they're prob fine, any smoke on accelaration?
  20. blatently got snow tyres on!!
  21. lucky sods its a little breezy in london does thats count as going home early weather?? lol
  22. not sure tbh ive always taken them out to get them tested, not sure how well it works but you could try redex thats supposed to clean them but might not stop it sticking open if that is your problem. without changing them i dont know of a way of eliminating them, id eliminate everything else first before shelling out on a new set thogh
  23. sticky injector dumping fuel on boost?
  24. were are the oil coolers? are they mounted to the box or at the front somewere?
