it really was!!! im amazed how well it was running its idle was spot on and it pulled well, yea linda's a legend kept me topped up with tea and even faxed my office for me!!! top work everyone there

well just got back from zedworld and im amazed at just how much was wrong with my zed!! jeff and jamie spent the whole day on it and found a list of things as long as your arm!! somehow the car dyno'd at bang on 300hp even though; the cambelt has been set a tooth out and to compensate the fitter (not jeff obv) had the timing set to 7 degrees advanced. the boost controller was not only wired wrong but plumbed in wrong. it had about 7 boost leaks including a major one from what jeff suspects is the plenem ( again were another fitter had not sealed it properly.) added to that the right hand intake pipe hadnt had the jubilee clips done up so was flopping about. and if that wasnt bad enough someone had done the front wheel nuts up soooo tight jeff snapped 2 of them and had to spend 4-5 hours drilling the damn things out oh and nearly forgot the cambelt tensioner is maxed out so the belt is bow string tight. needless to say jeff and jamie fixed a chunk of the problems and the car already feels better ( even gave me a bit of a fright when i decided to give it some welly out of the crossing and it lit the wheels up with ease!!) anyway a big thanks to all at zedworld today great place and even though its 170 miles away ill def be using them in the future!!!

ive got a uk auto tt and tbh i wanted a manual as well but i drove the auto and its actualy a pretty good box i get about 300ish miles from a tank i love it, nice and smooth on the mway and launching from the lights theres not a lot that can keep up!!

it prob drains power and fuel etc... etc... but i doubt it would be noticable on a zed tbh im getting mine reconnected by jeff nxt monday i really missed it last summer

just spend the extra on a trusted name like biltz/hks/greddy etc.. i wouldnt trust an unknown with something as important as boost

sounds about right tbh were did you have it dynod? what dyno was it? do you have a graph?

could try the filter probly sucked up crap from the bottom of the tank plus itd be a cheap and easy fix

i was taken out in a zed just the other day had 480hp and a lightened clutch and pulley kit the power was very smooth and progressive and felt very similar to mine in the way the power was delivered just obv there was a lot more power on tap, the idle was sweet and it still made 450flb at around 3k id say go for it, ive heard stalling problems etc.. etc.. but that zed was running 100% and picked up really well i doubt youd notice any differance climbing hills at the end of the day the clutch would be engauged and it would be the power of the engine driving you up the hill not the added rotational mass of a heavy flywheel

my mapper told me that the standard pump is BETTER than the walbro unit, a mate of mines running a big power evo with an in tank pump i think its aeromotive its around the £300 mark but its shit hot its about half the size of the walbro, whisper quiet and somehow manages to throw out something crazy like 350lph!!!

shame you said not french i did a similar thing in a 300quid citroen cant remember off hand what it was called but it was hugely comfey, auto, and went the whole trip only needing brake light bulbs and some new brake pads plus it was 2.0 so plenty of poke for the mway

well i bought it for 2.5k with a knackered spoiler and a leaking crank seal if i was to put it up for sale now id prob put it up for 3.5k but id take 3k px?

lol my mrs used to be the same until i just ignored her and went out and bought a gts-t now she loves em!! i think for some reason they dont seem to photograph very well so they look a bit boy racerish but in the flesh they look like a differant animal, i love the looks of the zed and they go like stink but you could say to anyone wether their 12 or 65 ' ive got a skyline gtr' and the reaction is always the same 'really!!! oooh take me out in it' lol with the zed you get ' oh whats that then ' not that its a bad thing and when they see the zed you always get a good reaction (appart from 1 green eyed mate who went with 'ooooh... aint it flat!)
