  1. we had it on the dyno the other day with overdrive off and all it wants to do is kick down or change down its a pain, i know the auto boxes arnt great but i quite like it and i dont want to put crazy power through it maybe 350-370ish
  2. you could try some braided lines and some dot 4 it really helped my prelude id have happily tracked it after i put the dixel carbon pad and discs on as well they were some of the most solid brakes ive felt
  3. uk mate only got an overdrive
  4. mines red when i first got it next door thought it was brand new, ive been asked what make of ferrari it is before buy a guy in morrisons car park, in fact it gets mistaken for a rarri quite a lot!! hell im not about to start correcting people lol
  5. ive seen an auto box controller on an auto nissan largo ( supposidly the same auto thats on the zx n/a) and i was wondering if anyone knew a way of holding the box in gear so i can get the car mapped? ie hold the car in 3rd and floor it without the car kicking down?
  6. +1 there easy to use and look the part
  7. lol it is usualy a pretty good watch tbh might see if its on bbc3 or i player or something
  8. i try and catch it usualy miss it though what channels it on?
  9. oh and if the wastegates stay closed the boost will just keep building they control boost by opening and venting exhaust gas back into the exhaust pipe thus slowing the exhaust turbine down, think of it like a trap door on the side of the turbo
  10. im not 100% but if its got standard boost solenoids the ecu may be able to cut the boost if it senses a prob and goes into safe mode although im not certain of this, again i wonder if it could be down to your det sensor code?
  11. its got brand new (1000ish mile old) toyo proxeys on the rear to be fair it is wet out there, although i did let off which is when in snapped back towards the kerb so i guess if when i let off and it went to step back in line it could have hit a patch of derv or something that may have sent it toward the kerb
  12. stupid thing nearly sent me flying into a curb!!!! gave it some welly off the lights yday and as per usual the rear broke traction, no problem she usualy does just this time the camber of the road made the back step out, again no problem i thought so i went to correct it and the stupid thing kicked the back end over to the curb!!! is that normal or is it broken? if its normal were can i get a lock out bar because its gotta go!!! lol
  13. to measure the afr they put a rod with a wideband o2 sensor bolted to it ( sort of looks like a small exhaust pipe about an inch around ) and thats linked to the dyno's computer. the computer then takes a reading from the sensor every 100rpm or so which would then be use to plot a graph. yes when people say its 17s or 10s they are taking about a 17:1 or 10:1 afr idealy on a turbo car you want it to be around the 11:1 mark when its on boost
  14. ha typical weve got no hope if the drawings ain't even close!!! lol
  15. ahh that sounds about right 13a fuse is a lot just for a relay coil lol
  16. ok i rekon check the smaller connector of the two connectors that go into the warning lamp part of the circut ( bottom right ) as if the wires on that were shorting youd get all the lamps you mentioned light up when you replaced that 13amp fuse also there must be a problem with the bulb check relay as unless theres something else being fed off of the fuse thats not on the drawing the relay coil is the only thing being powered by that 13amp fuse
  17. from what i can make out id say it powers the bulb check relay which looks like it switches the fuel injection system which would explain your idle problems i guess, it looks like it feeds a lot more than that though as its also looped to another 40 amp fuse ill trace that through in a min it could be as simple as the relay coil is knackered as thats all that fuse feeds by the look of it
  18. tbh im thinking of selling my manual conversion i wanted to go down the same route as you but ive grown to like the auto box and im thinking of leaving it alone now lol also ive got a hankering for a 33 gtr lol, so if your in the market i may have one for sale brand new clutch and all
  19. oh and yea boost controllers are a pain if you havnt done one before
  20. im going down the same route but ill have to get the manual conversion done first, if you have bigger tubs a remap would make best use out of them although your injectors will max out at 17psi so if you want over 350ish youll need injectors and i think youll struggle to map it with an auto box ( it just wants to kickdown all the time) might be worth checking your fuel pressure could be your pump on the way out
  21. well on boost it should be around the 11s coming on boost 14s should be fine 17 is very lean though, i doubt you could change fueling with a conzult cable youd need a chipped ecu for that, if your det sensors triggering the ecu might pull the fuel or timing so id get the det sensor checked out tbh
  22. thats proper lean for a turbo car althogh it prob wont richen up until its on boost, probly needs mapping id keep well away fro the right pedal until its sorted
  23. weres the eng cont fuse on the drawing?
  24. petrol in derv is much worse, the petrol car would just cut out, drain the fuel and add petrol ull be fine. other way round is worse because petrol is so corrosive it just melts everything
