  1. hi all just a quicky prob done something silly, i fitted a new tps (i have an auto and the gear change was sloppy) it fixed the gear change but now the car idles at about 1700-2k rpm i set the tps at .47v at closed throttle is this correct? cheers again for the help nick

  10. what did you take off/put back when you did the conversion? ie boost pipes, oil lines?
  11. I wouldnt have thoght it would matter as slymagic said it think its just a variable resistor

  13. Hmmmm seriously considering the manual conversion auto's great on the mway but just came back from driving her in the twisty hilly b roads of cornwall and the damn thing drove me mad! Forever changing down then up grrrrr can u keep the cruise control if i have the conversion done?
  14. Ha you ve jyxed it! I tightened it up and went out was all fine but the spade was still a tiny bit loose so i gave it a bit more and snapped it! Dont have a spare sensor do ya? Lol

Hi all just drove down to cornwall and noticed that under accelaration the temp gauge drops quite sharply, it doesnt creep down as if more air throgh the car would be cooling down it moves about the same speed as the rev counter any ideas dont know if its always happend or just started ive never noticed it before. Oh and i dont know if its related but about 3 hours into the jorney i had the cruise control set and we started up hill almost got to the top and it felt like it started running on 5 cylinders so i slowed down and it cleared and was then fine for the rest of the jorney :s im shittin myself the the headgaskets on its way out. Any help would be great and as always much apreciated cheers Nick
  17. depends if its scored the bores best 2 get it checked thogh itll olny get worse and therfore more expensive!!! lol
  18. id have thoght it would still boost if the rings are worn tbh u might get some blow by on the pistons but i doubt that would affect your boost gauge, does sound like rings if it smokes when u let off the gas i reckon compression test like ashc said would be a good start

  20. footwell fuses might be worth a try could help pin the drain down, a wiring diagram would help massivly dont know if anyone on here would have one?

  22. could try unplugging it see if the drain drops off then youd know if it was the solenoid or the wiring?
