  1. Cheers guy's Realy do appreciate all of the information and addvice. To be honest Hellraiser, I do not know. What would be the easiest way to find out?
  2. A bit off the wall I know, but I am seriously thinking about going into the licensee trade and becoming a pub landlord. Reason being, A pub that I have enjoyed frequenting for the last 25 or more years is without a landlord. Anyone have any ideas of how I might express my interest?
  3. After such a long period of inactivity, I would first check all of the connectors in the engine bay, they are prone to corrosion. It will be a matter of disconnecting and cleaning each one, there are quite a few to do, so might take a while. Look out for those that are difficult to see such as the ones at the back of the engine on the right. Hope that helps.
  4. Sounds like you may have a dry joint on the fuel pump ecu circuit board to me.
  5. Not sure if this link will be of help but I thought it might be worth a look. http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/157335.html?*session*id*key*=*session*id*val*
  6. sorry, wrong thread. I mean I was typing in the wrong thread.
  7. Mmmmm, Good point! Lol
  8. Loops! See wat yoo mean ther. Lol I will have to lay off the bear I guess, lol
  9. Keep the faith Mastercookieman. Thanks for paying tribute to my welding exploits, glad it has helped you decide to savage her. I hope that you succeed. If there is at any point you need any information regarding how to go about certain areas, just give me a pm and I will be more than happy to share my experience.
  10. Mmmmm, Retract that statement.
  11. http://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15465 This link above may help. Bit of a read mind, but may be of some help. Only took me about 4 years to get most of the tin worm replaced. I am sure there are some stage photo's of how I removed the outer sills though.
  12. Tend to agree with you there Yowser, American V8's are good, but a Japanese Z needs a Japanese motor. A bit of a purist I guess.
  13. Happy birthday!!! You are catching me up, lol
  14. Hi Rob, you can't be to far away from me. Maybe I can help you one weekend? Limited knowledge mind, but very handy with a spanner etc. Let me know and we can pool our resources?
  15. Is it deffinately smoke? Not steam by any chance? Was there an oily smell during the test video?
  16. I would be a bit worried about your oil pressure, unless you have an after market one somewhere else. As for the erratic tickover, this link might be of help. http://z32.wikispaces.com/Idle+Control
  17. Not sure if it is related or not, but I would highly recommend curring the smell of fuel! The 300zx is infamous for fuel leaks, especially in the engine bay. I have attached a layout diagram showing where the connections are, I would check these and tighten any that appear loose, even if there is no sign of a leak. http://z32.wikispaces.com/Fuel+System+Diagram
  18. Once you have checked out what Groover said, It may be worth looking at the relay hidden behind the rear part of the front offside wheel arch liner. Mine had similar problems and turned out to be a corroded brown relay. Worth a look.
  19. Good to hear you got it sorted. Nice to hear what you did to resolve it also.
  20. Sounds promising Jeff. Looks like I will have to get her over to you soon, may have to be after my forth coming holiday though. I go away on the 18th Would you need to keep it over night? The only reason I ask is that the main stumbling issue occurs mainly from cold. Strange thing is, Straight after starting she seems fine, but after about 30 seconds or so she becomes a real pig up until she warms up. My other problem being is that she is part in primmer so ideally would like dry weather. Hopefully we can work something out?
