  1. Totally agree Gary, everyone does deserve a second chance. But for what was he banned for? seeme a little extreme to say the least. Nothing against the individual, my thoughts are not regarding the person at all. It's more about the principal involved with regards to members being made aware. From my point of view, being a member who was ripped of a few years ago by an active member, I would like to be assured that this is not likely to happen again. No axe to grind, just think that this sort of decision should be less totalitarian and be more transparent. Don't get me wrong, I have faith in the committee, but I think that this should have been put to the members for approval or objections, depending on the reason for the ban in the first place that is. What was the misdemeanor?
  2. Hi committee, Was there any particular cause for concern that prompted the suspension? Or is that standard procedure? Just wondered if there was anything that the general members should be made aware of?
  3. Try not to despair Russ, easily said I know. But I can empathise with you, I really can. All I can say is take a little time before you make a final decision mate, you have come so far. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.
  4. That's good to hear mate, I'm in no hurry. Sorry if you have already done so, but how would you describe the glass with regards to condition? Also, do you have prices for both the glass/stereo?
  5. Took receipt of a high level third brake light today in exceptional condition along with harness, bulbs and fixings screws etc'. All made possible because of the unbelievable generosity of the one and only... Funky Si. :thumbup1: Not only did he let me have this for no charge, he even paid the postage as well. All I can say is.. Thank you sir, I owe you one my friend.
  6. Gentle bump.. :whistling:
  7. Hi mate, the link below might be a worthwhile read. https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/thanks-everyone.15465/
  8. Carpe Diem... :thumbup1:
  9. I do like that Sir, very nice. :thumbup1:
  10. Very nice Andrew. :thumbup1: How about changing the surrounding square to a circle, as the emblem itself? :)
  11. Totally understand Gary, and I agree, Andrew's design is excellent. Just think that as the Z logo has epitomized the Marque throughout, it would be a befitting way to pay homage. In a similar way to the likes of Ferrari, Aston and the like. So long as it was in keeping with the original design that is.
  12. Just an idea, but could the chequer board at the base of the laurel leaves be replaced with the Z logo? Just a thought.
  13. What is the situation with the above please?
  14. The rubber has the characteristic of becoming very soft when warmed so as to be very malleable, around 80 deg's. Once cooled, it becomes very firm again. https://www.amazon.co.uk/RetroRubber-Grade-Butyl-Headlight-Sealant/dp/B01N5PM29J By the way Alic' I said Butyl..
  15. I think it is called Grey Butyl Rubber, I bought some a little while back when I refurbished my headlights. I'll see if I can dig out where I purchased it from.
  16. Fair enough, I'll leave it with you. Hope you get it sorted.
  17. Would 12 volts across the terminals of the connector suggest a good ground? Or am I missing something?
  18. Just as short term test, can you add a good known second ground? Say to the engine for example? I take it you are using the harness ground when checking. - - - Updated - - -
  19. Hi Alic, where are you taking your earth from when checking with the multimeter for voltage?
  20. Is the UK stereo still available? Also, what is the situation with the glass? I understand you have sold the rear screen. Is the rest still available?
  21. Hey Russ, changed both of my o2 sensors a little while back. I think the key to my success was to soak the threads every night for a week prior to attempting to remove them. I took a length of kunifer brake pipe and dribbled a little Plus Gas into the small recess around the threads, worked a treat. Patience is the key.
  22. Patriotism Richard.. :lol::thumbup1:
