  1. Hi Russ, I had a very similar issue a little while back.. I dismantled and cleaned just about everything, but to no avail. You may not have the same cause, but mine turned out to be a faulty plug. You say that the problem cylinder moved when you changed the plugs, it could be by chance that you have two faulty ones. Solved my issue with a brand new set of re gapped plugs and hey presto, problem solved. ps, have you checked the gapping on the existing plugs? may just have worn out of spec'
  2. Cheers both.. :thumbup1:
  3. Thanks to all those who wished me well on my birthday, much appreciated.

  5. As Joel and others have said, it is important to get things up to temperature and things like the TPS/Timing etc' set correctly. With regards to the ACC being at 45%, that may well improve once you set the base idle.
  6. Yes, timing will advance in relation to RPM. When setting at 15 deg' btdc, make sure that everything is up to running temperature. You can test the IACC in situ, however, it wouldn't harm to remove it and give it a good clean given the symtoms. You will most likely need a new gasket mind.
  7. I am not a big fan of additives, but due to your circumstances I would consider this link.. https://www.wynns.uk.com/product/stop-smoke/
  8. Please be careful not to over pressurise the system though, I believe 5-6 psi will suffice. Above that and you run the risk of damaging seals etc'
  9. A bit of a long shot, but I would check some of the internals of those connectors pictured next to the fuses. The reason I say this is that there is a possibility of some of them getting wet at some point in their lives due to faulty targa drains. It took me the best part of 2 years to discover one of mine had green corrosion on the inside of the connector itself! I dismantled mine to find the green verdigre had spread across several internal wires. ps, may be worth checking some of the other connectors further down also.
  10. Belated... :happybday:
  11. Agreed, I recently treated most of my connectors with the very same. (I would of done them throughout if I could of accessed them all) No issues to date.
  12. Belated Craig, hope you had a great :happybday:
