Injector clip removal
That is the correct way.

Overfueling
Have a good read of this... http://z32.wikispaces.com/ECU+Diagnostics Although Consult etc are ideal, there is another way of performing more basic ECU / o2 sensor testing.

Brake servo (fitting a brand new one potentially)
I have fitted a 2nd hand brake booster to my old Zed when the diaphragm inside got a tiny split in it. You can test the booster by blowing into the vacuum hose port, if its split you will be able to blow through continuously if its not then you won't. My failed booster also made the squeeking noise, although not all the time and mostly under hard braking. From what I can remember it did improve braking performance noticeably once replaced. HTH. :)

Help Please again looking for advice on this car
Trouble is here in the UK there aren't many to choose from at all and most of those few are poor examples.

Help Please again looking for advice on this car
Good luck matey. Just keep a level head, there are many dogs out there. I viewed a few all incorrectly described, wasted a lot of time and fuel! Hopefully this one is as you want it.

How much is my zed worth?
Solely based on what you've said and the fact its a NA LWB, I'd say not worth a lot unfortunately. The fact its a manual pulls some credit though.

New wheels
The smallest hub centric spacers I have seen are 6mm. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201121020833?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT However I think the smallest bolt on hub centric are 15mm for strength reasons. HTH :)

Order from Wiring Specialties
Thanks chaps. Like you say, probably on back order. A bit naughty really as when I bought mine it clearly showed as in stock ready to ship, now when I look this morning it says RHD loom out of stock and won't let you try to buy one! Bummer as my Zed is dead without one ATM :(

Order from Wiring Specialties
Afternoon. Has anyone ordered a wiring harness from WS recently. If so, I was just wondering on the level of service you received. I ordered a new EFI loom, transmission loom and a couple of sub looms last Friday and as of yet have not received any follow up emails with tracking information or other. I received the initial order email which has a order update link, but nothing changes there either and still no tracking info. I have emailed them 2 days ago and have had no reply has yet. The order may just turn up out of the blue, but some tracking info or anything would just be nice to give some confidence in your order. Any thoughts?...More patience?

ecutalk figures , any thoughs ?
The cheapy in the eBay link that you've just bought is the same as mine, it works absolutely fine with DataScan and Dr300zx. Haven't tried anything else though, but the point is it works. I did require some extra driver software though, as what was on the disc provided wasn't enough. If you require any assistance, let me know.

Mot pass
How much did you bribe the tester? Seriously though, nice one. Always nice to get a clean pass.

How much are my seats worth?
Would love to consider buying them, but London is too far for collection and I'd also have to add a wiring loom for the passenger seat to work.

rear suspension knock
The strut top mount is just a big fat rubber bush type thing isn't it? Its doubtful that is causing the noise, but I have personally fitted new struts to my old Z to immediately find one faulty, and that was a rear one. When I removed it to check, the strut had about an inch of free play at any point of travel before the dampening effect and this caused a knocking noise. I got it replaced under warranty and the noise disappeared immediately.

Plenum pulled!
Be as careful as possible with the loom, my car now needs a new one since my mechanic has done a plenum pull to correct some water pipe issues, do a bypass and EGR delete. Seems part/s of the loom have broken and now it won't start at all, it was running really well before hand. He did say the injector connections were in a real bad way though, covered in green corrosion just like yours. I'm not too fussed though, because its forced the issue and brought something I had intended to do forward which I might never have got round to and I reckon its probably one of the best investments for continued reliability.

UK Nissan 300zx
On the surface it certainly looks like a clean honest example, trouble is for anyone on hear looking to buy it there'd bound to be bad feeling about giving a trader the fastest ever £3500+ profit ever. I'd be looking to drive a super hard deal. Come on, the trader might have paid even less than the original £3200, lets say £3k and then immediately sticks £3750 onto the purchase price for resale! Wow! Good luck to them, but surely it will be hard for anyone in the know to stomach! That said, a good reflection of rising 300zx prices and the original seller obviously under priced the car.

Absolutely unbelievable. What a shame a true enthusiast didn't get there first.

What did you do to your zed today?
^^^ I binned my aftermarket suspension arms and coilovers when I first got my Zed, OEM all the way where possible and not too ridiculous on the pocket.

What did you do to your zed today?
I agree and discussed that with my mechanic, the car was running very nicely before and its very doubtful the PTU, coil packs, CAS or any other component has just died, but sadly the loom is a strong possibility. Its a late '89' car, they don't get much earlier! Proud of this. :)

What did you do to your zed today?
I've told my mechanic to spend a little more time investigating, but TBH I had intended to put a fresh loom on at some point as I feel many of these cars reliability problems are loom/connection related now. This might have just brought it forward a bit. I'm happy to plough lots of money in to this car, I intend to keep it and want it to become one of the best near stock examples! A way to go though ATM. :(

What did you do to your zed today?
Yes, LHD looms are cheaper, but only by $25 so might as well order the RHD one. :)

What did you do to your zed today?
Still jealous! Today received news that my (was perfectly running) Zed is now broken and won't start after a plenum pull, bypass and some water pipe work. The mechanic believes that the loom has given up after being disturbed and a wire or two as snapped. The ECU now reports code 21, he's tried a different PTU, says there is fuel and the injectors are working, but there is no power to the coil packs now. Looks like a Wiring Specialties RHD loom is required, a snip at nearly $500! :(

series 1 diff in series 2 300zx
Just a small curve ball, the UK spec diff, although the same as the JDM TT cars as an oil cooler, which can be deleted with no issues. The seller might have confused the oil lines for these.

UK Nissan 300zx
Bargain! Well worth a look, nice low mileage is much more likely to be genuine as a UK example with traceable MOT history. Hope its as good as it could be. :)
