  1. been telling everyone I've met all day about new forest. All the witchery and sorcery and stuff, what a magical and beautiful place ;) determined to bring the family there sometime. My kids are facsinated with my little (ok made up a bit) stories about the folklore and scary forest stories, and how the lady in the shop where i bought their little gifts was a real Witch. great location guys and gals. don't want to sound to sentimental, but i think i've got one of those things which i'll always remember :)
  2. Ouch, sounds similar to an autobox failure I had on a different z a few years back, Horrible metalic grinding noise. Would barely drive in 2 and no reverse. had to replace it. Best of luck
  3. thanks for the sympathetic and non-smartarse reply athene :D ...will i say it one more time? Athene...there you go, thats your fix for tonight :D say hi to ant for me

Hi Anthony, numbers over here are so small it may not justify a website but good luck with it. I think I emailed you details of my car a while back. Maybe if all the Irish members from here sent you details and pics it would be a start for you. surely there are more generation z's in the country so you could make it a 300zx/zcub site, you would certainly get more numbers. I've clicked that link a few times over the last few months, maybe it's time to get some z's on there to start with Mick
  7. Hi mark, yes I reckon I've accounted for all the paper now. On friday it was boosting at 90% , drove a 200 mile round trip over the weekend and it seems back to normal :hyper: Of course with the awful weather I'm a bit nervous about driving her too hard but i think whatever small bits were left have now burned off. Plenty of jokes going around a the S.C. meet, I was presented with a lot of blue tissue :D Thanks for asking bud!
  8. Just home. As trish said a big thanks to all of you for making the effort considering the weather. Your all a great bunch very friendly and welcoming, can't wait to meet up again next year Matt..hope your feeling better :D Athene ..hope your feeling better :D Chris...cheers for the lift ;) graham ...cheers for the lift ;) gaz...cheers for the map ;) Trish...thanks for putting up with me for the last 48 hours :D What a great weekend :hyper:

Great pics! except for maybe one or two :o :o :o We all look relatively sober, considering! Love the group pic at the start
  10. yep, he doesn't have a zed though so he doesn't count (sorry Adam)
  11. Sky forecast is dry-ish, bit breezy for the south
  12. how about a "funki-si 300zx nightmares" calender with all the worst blingy things you can stick on a z. :D
  13. vile gross and indecent , who on earth made them?
  14. You were spot on buddy ;) removed downpipes today , managed to get a hand into the tubs and found paper jammed in the shafts. They were spinning OK but obviously air flow was restricted. Car now boosting at 90%, massive improvement. :hyper: Must be a little bit more paper left somewhere, not too worried i'll find it eventually or it may burn itself out. Thanks again, apologies to everyone for the constant stupid questions, but I'm delighted to be back on the road :nana2:
  15. nice one Athene, looking forward to meeting everyone :) Who's the zedder, spill the beans
  16.  brilliant!
  17. cheers. znut and greg thanks for the help tonight , tomorrow's another day :)
  18. LOL, just thinking about the aus300zx guide i used in the first place. guess he did say stuff a RAG in there, should've gone by the book for once in my life! Wheres that wastegate thingy?
  19. thanks again bud, just one more question. If it is possible to see in there, is it also possible to clean paper out of there with the right tools? to be fair, the mechanic does run of the mill stuff and kind of helping me out. he may not be the brightest, but he's got a garage with a lift. :D Hope he doesn't read this
  20. nope, they sure will tomorrow though, cheers greg. ;)
  21. OK, update. Even though all relative pipework possible has been removed and checked car still won't boost, gauge will barely pass halfway. I'm 99% sure drivers side is clear Other side is different because some paper went throught the turbo, but I don't know how much. Found bits of it here and there. Got down into the inlet pipe as far as you can go but doesn't seem to be any left, although it's impossible to actually see "inside" the turbo itself. Main pipes on that side are lined with an oily fluff (probably pulped paper) There are no strange noises, engine sounds normal
  22. pretty young thing- michael jackson -
  23. does that include postage?
  24. I just spilled my beer just as well it's late or the usual suspects would have a field day
