  1. lol thanks Trish, missing this place too.....and a you know what!
  2. Hi Vin, not too bad , thanks for asking bud. did you sell your red beasty? Saw it for sale a while back
  3. Shit happens richard. The silver z I imported from the UK in '03 blew the autobox in 2 months. I didn't even bother calling the guy. Just had it done in dublin for 1200 quid. As I told you that's why I opted for the manual conv. last time round, it's a better investment. Did you get the idling rev' sorted?
  4. Richardgills (proud new owner of my little honey) kindly offered to take me to this event if everything is sorted on the car by then. He's doing a bit of work on it, last time i spoke to him the t.belt was being done and a couple of smaller things. Hope to see you all there as a blow in lol:nana2:

Pity about the turnout, just seen this, would have suited me nicely (if I still had a z) maybe next year. Nissan owners club is a pretty cool thing , didn't know there was one in ireland.
  6. LOL:smash: it will never leave me will it? How it goin Athene :)
  7. Great news David, delighted it's finally starting to make it onto the track. a lot of time and effort will hopefully be greatly rewarded:) ever miss your black one?
  8. not my cup of tea, but right now i would settle for anything that goes faster than a nissan vanette cargo:x:
  9. Sitting down with a large bottle of Bacardi and crying over my old photos while blaming global economy and credit crunches on me having to sell, and dreaming of the pearl white respray I always dreamed of:duffer:
  10. Hi Steve I appreciate your circumstances, and sorry to hear of your engine troubles. An engine can be sourced quite easily in the UK, I really really hope you don't have to sell her, unless you're in really dire straits keep it and worry about it later. I remember when you bought that car, I remember your old red Z, she was stunning too. you don't want to find yourself in Z wilderness if you can help it. I sold mine last week and although it has relieved some financial pressure , no money can pay for time and dedication that has been put into something. Hope it works out for you buddy:)
  11. Sorry to hear about the exhaust Richard, the garage that carried out the manual conversion told me they had repaired any breaks in the exhaust when they put it back in, obviously didn't do a great job, but then again exhaust was on the car when i bought it nearly 4 years ago, so it could be a lot older. I loved the old sound though, hope it sounds same again once you've finished. On the AFM try the connector plug, it's come loose a few times, it was working fine for me . While you're in there i'll bet the stillen air filter needs cleaning, i should've done it age ago, as i should a lot of little jobs that needed doing. Hope you have her up and running soon, don't hesitate to call me if you've any questions , hope I can help. i'm missing it, People in the village are missing it, even the old dears on the way to mass used to stop and walk around it smiling and pointing.. As I said it would charm the knickers off a nun:)
  12. Cool, hell your really getting into it already! Post some pics up after the bumper fix if you can.
  13. Fook sake Dave I was praying for that for 6 months lol! But then again I live in a place where in the summertime I often go to bed after leaving the targas off, door open , keys in the ignition.......however, it's full of rednecks and chainsaw wielding one eyed men over here so you can't have everything
  14. Hi Richard, Lol! I have just written a long reply to that , and accidentally deleted it, probably just as well it was so soppy:p take good care of her, get used to people smiling at it and wondering what it is, and get over the niggly problems.........the sound and looks far outweigh them, as you probably are becoming aware:hyper: I look forward to future Ireland meets where I can keep an eye on you and what you're doing to my little honey! Rest of you guys and gals, thanks again, you're a great bunch:bow:
  15. Cheers guys, I miss this place, the banter , the rows, the bans lol. I won't be a total stranger, it might even be easier to come on here now some financial wieght has lifted off my shoulders. Had such a crap 6 months , I found it hard to come on here, almost guilty in a way, I know that sounds silly but it's true. Music is coming along fine Gaz and Lee, thanks for asking!
  16. Hi folks, just thought I would drop in and tell you finally I have sold my pride and joy to a guy called richard from Tralee in co. Kerry today, hope it brings you as much pleasure as it did me richard:) Was quite sad watching him drive away, that car was like one of the family, but unfortunately it had to be sacrificed, Richard is a member on here and I know it's going to a good home to a fellow enthusiast. I'm sure in the future i'll get behind the wheel of another z, for now i'm getting sloshed to numb the pain lol, Promise ill try and drop in here from time to time, you guys have been a great bunch both as friends and tech help (BTW my pic uploads and sig rights have been removed as i'm not a paid up member maybe someone could put up a pic of my little honey):nana2: Mick.
  17. lol, saving them for something special:D
