  1. Cheers , is Muscrat Manor in stockport or nearby? Sounds a posh place, I could even bring the family along if that's ok, and I will be there from the 7th till the 14th. cool!
  2. sorry jonrms, don't have pics of the joint, but a search might throw up something. You can buy a new joint from mjp (Mike Feeney) , a trader on here, or try Andyz at supercarparts for a used one. also I notice you're in north Yorkshire, which is where i bought my zed, Saltburn-by-the-sea or something like that

I got it into my head couple of months ago tints would look great, so I paid 200 quid for the back window/ sides done. :nono: ............ PIMPMOBILEhated it after a week. top job done, but just made the car look cheap. I've taken it off the sides but left it on the back window. I think it looks great on silver, but red  .. definitely not for me.
  4. Hi, I'm heading to the UK for a weeks holiday soon with the wife and kids, thought it would be nice to escape from the inlaws for a few hours and meet up with a fellow Zedder for a pint or two?!! And maybe put a face to at least 1 other member :)
  5. A very common problem on zeds is the universal joint/steering knuckle. When shagged it makes the steering go soft/hard/soft/hard. I've had this problem on each zed, easily repaired yourself but the joint itself is around £120 . It's deffo worth a try. Its located at the end of the steering column attached to the steering rack.
  6. Wish I was you!.....aahhhh...the first time, excitement, fear, getting used to people turning their heads, ..............best of luck fella ;) during the summer I'll make any old excuse to go to the local shop, there's a pub/ beergarden right beside it, and the looks it gets parked outside!!! Not bad for a 14 year old Nissan. Zeds are the best kept secret in sportscars :hyper:
  7. WOW! Not seen that zed before fella, WOW! again. fair play to ya!
  8. Thanks for the help fellas!
  9. Hi, I'm now 3/4's of the way getting my Zed to 100% mechanically sound. Last thing is the front suspension. Decided to replace just about everything, is there anything else to consider apart from these? I don't have access to a ramp, I just know these are on their last legs from driving it, and i'm a mechanical idiot. shocks; fecked springs; must be fecked camber arms; squeak like an old pram I'm half sorry i'm asking this, but I really want to get the car as close to "NEW" as possible before i do anything else.
  10. damn! just saw last 20 mins of it. Can anyone tell me why a z32 was in it? Just a fleeting glimpse or something?
  11. Hi

Is you're gto a tt? If so the standard 300tt is only slightly faster, but a lot more exciting to drive. It doesn't have 4 wheel drive for a start so the backend can kickout ,requiring more concentration. all in all it's definitely more of a drivers car....and a better investment as the gto is starting to look dated, no offence fella :)
  12. only reason I read this is because I saw "VINIBOY YOU ARE A FULL ON" something in the forum section and it didn't say the rest. Thought there was gonna be a good scrap! Ah well , back to boredom.........................It wouldn't have been your first though Vini! :tongue 405 BHP  I remember it well :p
  13. Hi and welcome! Don't want to sound negative but buying imports from a dealer is a dodgy business, so ebay always worries me. There's been a few threads here recently on ebay cars , some of which have been spotted by 300zx members as absolute dogs being sold under all sorts of pretences. I really hope the car is a good one, you will probably have to spend some money on it, you always will when you buy a Zed first time, but as the guys have said, subscribe. There's great money saving advice, trader discounts and a lot of craic to be had :duffer:
  14. Now that takes beating! Imagine , A zed with a new car smell! I'm five years but i don't think that counts because i've had three in that time. I'm sticking with this one though , till i'm old and grey
  15. yep, I spent a couple of months in vancouver and the scenery is spectacular. And the Women.HOLY MOLY! And the strip joints don't have silly pole dancers. They've got playboy models putting everything on show for you. And people are very laid back. suited me fine :duffer:
  16. Hi Leigh, happy birthday fella, have a good one, :duffer: sorry I wont get to meet you at JAE, next year I'm going for deffo.
  17. lol! funny you asked cos when i collected it the targas were off! I asked the customs guy why , and his reply was " erm, we had to give the car a proper search this morning, its procedure, and the guys must have removed them for easy access....." My arse!! TBH I dont care if they were drifting it , doing donuts and 1/4 mile times as long as i got it back :p
  18. :nana2: :nana2: :duffer: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: Thanks for all the help and advice guys! Got my Zed back this afternoon!! I was very humble and apologetic and think it paid off. I was only given a 200 euro fine (plus the duty of course), and a ticking off. I am EXTREMELY lucky. When I was brought to the compound to collect it I saw a lot of bmw's and skylines taken from people who weren't so lucky :( So now i'm legal, 91 W 1755, that's me! now, where's the beer, i'm off to celebrate, and twinpier, cheers fella!
  19. YEEEHA!!!!!!!! well done Apache!.. i'm sure the guys in the similator will have a cake for you tomorrow.......not!...anyway well done, you work for the government in a very positive way
  20. I guess we'll see tomorrow. to be honest , I think it's gone. these guys i'm talking about are ruthless. thers been a lot of cars in Dublin seized recently. Mainly expensive big beemers and mercs. I guess the guys down here want to show they are "playing a part".....so they take Mick's zed. ABSOLUTE BASTSRDS
  21. thanks vinni, but documents are in my name now so no-go. I will say one thing. people call me a gentle giant for obvious reasons. But If this guy does me tomorrow I'm gonna do something I might regret. I'm a hard working man with a family. I don't mess around in cars, or cause trouble. If this guy gives me greif tomorrow I will do something seriously to embarrass him in front of his colleagues thinks he has power? I'll show him power of a large fist. Am I getting drunk and agressive? think so........
  22. think its 1.6 tonnes
  23. Yeh, it lies in the discretion of the official who seized it.....who seems to be an absolute c*nt. anyone who wants to say "Mick you are an absolute edgit" feel free
  24. I used to have a red one
  25. to be quite honest, leave'im off. I will never ask for a ferrari of any type. you're driving a car that looks just as good and drives just as good for a lot lot lot less. wait till he gets his service bill, tanned twat :xxx:
