That is my wet dream my friend! I have a very small set-up , If I win the lottery thats what I'll have! People often forget it's the sound engineers and producers that make an Album famous. I'm totally fascinated by sound and how it all comes together in the right mixture of perfection. It's a very hard thing to do. I recently bought an anniversary edition of "dare" by the human League..still one of the most perfectly engineered albums i've heard . I'll be laughed at, but i find a lot of todays music is too crashy bangy and full of modern tricks . By the way the Synthesizer IS an instrument. And a very important one at that.

And it doesn't wake the neighbourhood if at 4 in the morning if the mrs does a loud snore.

The thing is supras are more expensive, but if you bought a decent tt for around 3k, spent 2k on some upgrades , goodies and a proper full service you would have a far superior (and faster) car. :dance: Supras are a bit like BMW's. Overpriced and ugly.

was driving home from work last night about 8pm. Beautiful evening,red sky, t-bars off, nice music doing no more than 70mph on a wide main road little traffic. suddenly see a blue shirt hop over a ditch then casually stroll back down a lane to a blue and white car. Sh*t..end of peaceful evening. I decided to put the boot down for a small turnoff 1/2 mile ahead which is on a large sweeping bend well out of view. My plan was by the time the fecker gets back to his patrolcar, makes it onto the road i'll be dust, and he'll stay on the main road for 4/5 miles before realising. so on I go 40mph down this little country lane smiling to myself....... No chance :cry: ..... siren blazing, Lights flashing , the works in my rearview mirror. I pulled in immediately. " What are you doing driving down here" the cop asked . "Erm.. it's a short cut". He just gave that nasty f*ck you grin and shook his head. then 2 penalty points and 80 euro fine. :xxx: Cop-1 Mick-0 by the way the cops don't have helicopters over here!!! How did he do It? He COULDNOT have seen me turn off :(

Yeah, I've got this too. 1-2 is a lovely sweet change and gives you a great sense of power but 2-3 doesn't have the same smoothness. The rev counter seems to dip back a bit when you're booting it and the car seems to take time to get you into third.Switching o/d on and off is quite smooth too. it's just 2-3 at high speed which doesn't seem right. I'm not sure what andyp's thread means about "Lockup", but it surely doesn't refer to a slow change in gear?

Nissan will gladly take you're cash for this common replacement on the 300zx. There should be a sticky on this and the ptu for newer members and people not too familiar with the car. I'm sure a lot of members have got stung before realising it. These parts are always floating about on the forum somewhere.

There was one on ebay last night for 8 quid, someone breaking a car and selling all the bits.Possibly didn't know the value. Sorry i don't have the link and my computers too slow to go back and get it, but if you do a search on 300zx you'll surely come across this guy. Sorry I didn't buy it myself for backup!
