Hi Miss astrasuck and welcome!. Stay on here for a while, you just might end up buying a zed :D . and you guys can swap parts and all that. very romantic!
  3. That is serious talent!!. I have never seen a car sketch done to such detail.
  4. Would you all stop going on about whiplash and extra claims:headvswal I'm sure all hellraiser wants is the guy to pay up and get his zed back to the way he had it. 2 years ago a huge dumptruck backed out of a yard , and smashed into the back of my wife's fiat seciento, our two kids in the back, pushing it out onto a main road and oncoming traffic. To this day I don't know how they survived. extremely lucky that other motorists saw what was happening and stopped the flow of traffic. In short the driver of the truck was very young and shit himself when he saw what he'd done. As no-one was hurt, my wife took pity on him  and he promised he'd pay up as it was his dads business and didn't want to go through insurance. six months later we ended up paying for all repairs to her car as the guy turned out to be from a family of cowboy builders, constantly changing business name and we had no comeback as it was too late for witnesses and all that . anyway sorry for rambling on but when people cry out "take em to the cleaners", it's not so simple.
  5. Uh-OH, don't want to sound negative hellraiser , but it might be hard to prove. Similar thing happened the mrs a couple of years ago. Not sure how the law works over there, but unless the police are called to the scene, and you've got witnesses it's his word against yours. did you speak to him at all? was he apologetic?
  6. Has anyone cleaned their engine bay , got it nice and shiny and kept it clean? If so what cleaning agents are safe to use? Been trying to get my lazy arse to do this for 5 years. :o
  7. Ouch, don't blame ya . Looks like he's 100% in the wrong. Hope he gave you his real details, or better again you called the law.
  8. And what the hell's wrong with "OVERSEAS BUYERS"?!!!!!! . See, I had the cash counted out n'all before I saw that. :D
  9. Agreed. The last owner had the doors cut out (very good job though) so no choice but to replace the crappy 6x9's he used for a decent set of pioneers. But the setup on my previous zed was components front and back which i found far superior. And cheaper.
  10. :D some buzz innit?!!!.........great to see all our heard earned being appreciated.
  11. OK, that sounds off the wall expensive. But considering a new ford mondeo costs 25,000+ euro, and given that your car is in top condition mechanically, to drive to germany and have that done would be pretty good value for money!
  12. Cost me 78 Euro to fill up today :( and that's for lousy 95 oct :( Which will last me till thursday. ...............But It's worth it. WELL worth it even though i'm now skint till thursday! :wack:
  13. What spoiler you going for chunk? And is that really your numberplate?!
  14. Thats what I call dedication!!
  15. this is a scanned photo of the 1965 fairlady SPL310 costing $2,621 back then. the very first datsun fairlady S211 was made in 1959 but very few were exported from Japan. I would doubt if any even exist now.
  16. And remember that ad; "the last letter of the alphabet is now the first name in sportscars"................too damn right!!!!!
  17. Absolutely stunning! some serious dosh spent . I love that black swb with the stillen rear spoiler. All cars are a credit to their owners
  18. Sh*t, he seems to be having a bad time of it lately. Hope to see him back here soon.

Nice one! And welcome! Great buy there fella, you won't regret it! And it would be interesting to see that ad. I presume it's an import?
  21. How many people have pics of your car on their mobiles? After giving my little honey it's weekly wash and wax today I had to go for a spin through town. While stopped at the lights outside a bar, two doormen were busy with their mobiles taking pictures of my Zed! It's not the first time, but usually it's teenage boys doing it, and having a row about what make it is at the same time! So how many people do it when it's parked and your not around to see it?!! These beautiful cars never cease to amaze me. Guess when you're so used to seeing it every day you forget what a presence it really is on the road.
  22. didn't take this too much notice of this thread till we got faxes from all our UK suppliers today warning of major problems with deliveries in the coming weeks. Hope it does good for you guys. My next door neighbour is shopping around for better fuel prices in his fiesta.............. Now that's bad :(
  23. Nearly right! The Jap version came from the factory with Fairlady Z on the left hand side. No other lettering. The n/a was the same.
  24. Or even the police . And they're not much better
