Stillen type 3 rear wing/spoiler
nor am I, but this does seem to blend into the rear end so well without, as you said, OTT. Side view is v.nice too , it seems to have depth and not just "stuck on".

Did you choose a zed - or you just didn't have any more money?
I consider myself lucky i'm not drooling over the newest beamer in top gear magazine, and other cars which i couldn't afford even if i wanted one. I will never love any car as much as I love the 300zx. cars often come up at work and guys talking about how much they would love a this or that. But they will never own them. I have two stinking rich cousins who own a nightclub.. One drives a brand new bentley continental GT, the other a ferrari 360. But there's no passion, they are just status symbols.....They will never have the enjoyment out of them that I have with my humble 300zx....

Stillen type 3 rear wing/spoiler
do any of you guys have a stillen type 3 rear wing on your zed ? Never seen one on here but would love to see some pics. The stillen catalogue has smallish pictures of it. I'm pretty sure it's the one i'll eventually pick, just need to see it from a few different angles.

Would someone in the music industry please explain this?
Good point ,I have a philips cd recorder which I use now and again but i'm afraid i'm not into the mp3's and downloading stuff just yet .Guess i'm old fashioned and love to browse in a shop ,take a cd home, play it in the car or whatever and store it.

Would someone in the music industry please explain this?
I have CD's which i bought in the mid to late eighties when they first arrived and they dont jump or stick. Yet every new cd I buy seems to skip after a few months. If it's a money saving thing on the coating fine, but we are now 20 years later. Surely there are scratchproof coatings out there now :headvswal

Not good..Not good at all
popped into a newsagents for a packet of fags today, came out to find a group of schoolkids around the zed. "ffs, what a waste, an oul' fella drivin' a car like that" one of them shouts. I'm only 36 :o  And you know what they say about kids being honest about stuff.

Zed V's Supra (The final say)
FFS, by some bad luck that clown THE SNAKE has posted over there as well at the same time and they have a suspicion he's a zed owner. :headvswal this is getting complicated :smash:

Crashed Z, predictions please.
Your doing the right thing Ken, buying n/a as your first zed helps you find your way around the car with minimal risks. and after a while you can decide weather you want to up to the tt. I stuck with n/a's for years before this and i would have either. they are both superb. Best of luck.

wheres that sexy zed?
Yeah I remember that ,I think someone photoshopped it too, there must be a searchword to find it.

Zed V's Supra (The final say)
I've never had a "play" with a supra, nor a "play" with a wrx, gto , or anything else for that matter. Don't need to. I run a stock engine so supra will probably beat me 0-60 from what i've read on here. 300zx is a drivers car, you have to work hard and concentrate at different speeds to get real enjoyment. but that is the enjoyment. So I guess it comes down to personal preferences. For some, milisecond differences and rapid accelleration are the buzz. For others it's just the thrill of driving a car which just feels right in every aspect. That's what the zed does. And it's been doing it since 1969 :) sorry for rambling, but i'm just in good form tonight!

Zed V's Supra (The final say)
   Well done mick1 and Ken2, this is the most entertaining thread i've seen on the forum so far! But i've got to give some credit to the supra replies, they were funny. funniest was "I like zeds but they hav'nt aged very well" ... And c'mon who's poopra???? It's got to be someone here. put your hand up. oh, and i don't follow football but this is what it must be like sometimes!!

painting calipers
ahem, another silly question, I take it you paint around the edges of the logo and then when its dry put an orbital sander on it, sanding off the red paint? I would imagine you would get a very clean finish this way. As the logo stands out a few mil from the rest and your careful with the sander

NZR - Lee Evans
sorry to butt in but I don't think he's funny at all! Just annoying. Peter Kay though, he is very funny. Must be the Oirish sense of humour :smash:

Accelerator pedal switch?

Wo-ho this is going way off topic but to explain, i've had three Zeds. Every one of them had the zbadge missing off the steering wheel :( . When I traded my old zed for this one i told the guy i was taking the badge with me cos it was missing off the one i was buying. on the drive home (A long F*cking drive from North Yorkshire to southern Eire!) I opened the little compartment between the seats and HEY PRESTO! found another badge. you can have it for nothing bud, just PM me your address :)

Accelerator pedal switch?
just noticed this evening when I put the floor mats back in if i press the accel. pedal all the way in theres a little click as if theres a switch in there somewhere. Now i'm right confused because the car had a full MPH convertion when I bought it I assumed it was de-limited. I rarely drive it hard so is it possible it's still restricted? I guess the switch could still be in place even though it has been, but never noticed the switch before.
