Inside of left pod housing
I don't know if you want to spend money but I was randomly browsing ebay and saw this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300zx-Parts-Hazard-Light-Switch-Complete-300zxParts-co-uk-/141716334086?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item20fef3a606 It has the bracket attached.

Inside of left pod housing
Sorry mate, no luck I'm afraid. I found a pod and pod back, plus the dash surround, but no bracket and no hazard switch either. I hope you find one, it annoying when you're looking for one tiny part. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

I think I have a couple of pods with parts in my shed, I can have a look tomorrow, I think I know what you want. I can't promise anything, as I have no clue what I've got.

Car tax for my Zed
I expect that it's actually £230, or 241.50...but the lower prices around £126.50 got me curious.

Car tax for my Zed
Ok, for no particular reason I checked my SORNed Zed, and yes, it's still recorded as SORNed surprisingly. Anyway, I checked the priced of tax for my Zed, and the site took me here - https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-rate-tables/rates-for-cars-and-light-goods-vehicles-registered-before-1-march-2001 I just don't understand it! Maybe I'm being a moron, but if I understand correctly it £126.50 if I sign up for an annual Direct Debit? But up for a 6 month DD, then it's 25p more. Confused! Anyone else understand this?

Manual conversion clutch pedal too soft
got one of these ordered should be here on tuesday http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FAIJLPC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A36OJLYJM7N41A I replaced my master cylinder with that Jakoparts one from Amazon, in fact that's my review on Amazon. I can recommend! The master cylinder turned out to be my soft pedal problem, couldn't even get my Zed into gear.

Terminator Genisys - 270z
Weird though, if you Google it, it does produce image results with a title 270z. So people are calling something a 270z, perhaps wrongly. But eitherway, there was a zed in Genesis and they drove a truck into it. :( Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Terminator Genisys - 270z
Ok, I'm now thinking the 240z was called 270z in the US. There was a 280z right? Is it all the same car?! Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Terminator Genisys - 270z
Sure, came after the 240z....had glass over the headlights to make it more aerodynamic, and was longer than the 240z. https://41.media.tumblr.com/d3349a221edb7d4cd1eb14bfa67e26fe/tumblr_n4exefF4FZ1r19pfco1_400.jpg Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Terminator Genisys - 270z
So, saw it recently and enjoyed it despite the paradoxes...I cant say I've really been bothered by Terminator movies since T2, but this one did it for me, it felt like old times. But anyway...did anyone else spot the 270z getting totalled during the 80's scene? I'm sure they could have chosen something less rare. Could have been a 240, but it was brief and I've only seen the movie one.

Welding up the brake light hole, for perspex stip WO braklight?
I get it now, I had assumed that the strip without a brake light would just be flat across the back, and covered the brake light hole. Just as well I checked. Cheers all! Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Welding up the brake light hole, for perspex stip WO braklight?
Cheers, I guess I read so many stories about how easily the Perspex stips snap that I figured the empty brake light gap was a potential weak point once the strip was fixed to it. I've already measured and cut the plate to fill the hole, figured it would stop water getting in too, as it goes straight through to the boot. I don't know go much the perspex strip seals the tail gate once on.

Welding up the brake light hole, for perspex stip WO braklight?
Hey, I plan to fit a perspex strip (WO brake light) once my Zed is painted. I was planning to weld up the brake light hole in case for some reason the centre of the perspex strip was ever pushed on, obviously with a gaping hole behind it, I'm guessing it will crack? I've never had, or seen the perspex strip, other than in pics, so not sure how it attaches, or if there is an insert or something, can anyone tell me if welding up the hole is ok? Cheers!

What did you do to your zed today?

Little white square screw clip thingys in targa rails
Thanks for this, that's them alright! I really thought I'd be scavenging from other members to get enough, or being forced to glue everything or something. Cheers, I pass this info on to MJP.

Little white square screw clip thingys in targa rails
Hi, I'm renovating my targa's and rails over each side of my Zed (if you get what I mean), plus I'm painting the car soon, so really they had to come off anyway. Can anyone tell me where / if I can get replacements for these - They're pretty much all split. If I have to I could possible glue them. Replacement screws would be good too, as most had rotted away. Also, I'm sure I saw a guide to renovating the rails about a year back, can anyone point me to this? Cheers!

Wiring up a KPH to MPH converter - how? (LARGE PICS)
I never reported back on my post, mine worked fine after the slice and dice. I haven't been on the road yet so it so it could be reading the wrong MPH, but the needles all move as expected. :) Finally after finding a 12v supply powered when the lights were switched on, I wired up the ELs, and they look like this - I'm a happy bunny.

Rubbing off stonechip advice please
I've left the bumpers for now, concentrating on the car body, Im going to wait until I have a compressor, and coat them in several coats of filler primer. I agree that they do need rubbing down more first. I'm actually sore from a day of rubbing. Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk

Rubbing off stonechip advice please
Interesting, I had ordered some filler primer, but thanks to the hopeless courier Yodel, I haven't actually received it yet. If it has good coverage, then might be a way forward. :)

Rubbing off stonechip advice please
Ok, I did the car, that's fine. The bumpers though, argh! The orbital was going to take forever, so I got an angle grinder with a metal sanding disc...which did the job, but has left lots of dimples in the plastic, where I've pressed too hard. I've used a whole can of £9 high-build primer on top of plastic primer on one single spot, and it has rubbed down smooth (the left side, lighter grey, in the pics) but there are still lots of dimples. I'm considering plastic filler, but I've never used plastic filler, so have no experience. I don't want it to all go wrong and maybe crack or fall off after base coat painting. If I had the spare money right now, I think I'd just buy aftermarket bumpers and spare myself the pain. So, I'm asking for advice, lots of high-build primer, or plastic filler? Or something else.... Cheers!

Was central locking fitted as standard?
Mine are / were both imports, but only my original 93 had a Toad, with remote central locking.
