Had a quick look at the plumbing too. No - goes to the intercooler piping a before the throttle bodies - so pressure source. Com - this come off and is 'T' pieced and goes down under the engine so I can only assume these are going to the wastegates. I believe this piping looks right but correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure. Is there a way to check that? It has external trust wastegates - - - Updated - - - Just been and changed the boost controller and no difference. In fact I think it peaked at 18.6psi

I've had a look around the plumbing and that all looks fine. I had saved the lower figures in the low mode. I'll have a go at putting this other unit in and see if it works or not.

Thanks Ashley, I turned them all right down in the low setting. The lowest I could go on Gain was 5%, everything else I just put as 0 and I still got 16 psi fairly easily. Would the boost controller stop me doing that if it was working correctly?

In short, how can I check whether it's woeking right? In the past, I've been told it didn't seem to be working correctly. Anyway, it's never really been an issue but something I knew I'd one day look at. That day is today since I'm off work. It's a greddy Profec B-Spec 2 I have. How do I know if it's working right? Do I simply turn all the settings right down and see if it boosts less? For info, I bought a new control unit for it on eBay - don't know if it works or not but need to know how to check it first.

I know mate. My point was that it should just be a simple matter of 'you're not subscribed' rather than bringing up issues that we don't know how or if they were resolved that's all. I'd have guessed they were since no action was taken.

So was there no committee action taken back then? I just checked back and it was 2010 I was talking about when I'd spoken to his son but it was later in the year and was due to a bad car accident. It was actually the January I'd bought the gearbox

So we don't know the outcome, that's all I'm saying and the point I was making. Don't want this to turn in to a witch hunt or anything that's all. I feel it should simply be a case of you're a registered user so can't sell. Surely we don't need to put more into it but if there is more to the people who try to sell on the forum, should we consider that people who have trading issues just shouldn't be allowed to sell? Not sure if it's something the clubs considered in the past.

And how did all of that end? I've never had any problem with Phil (redbaron) and in fact he even went as far as personally delivering a gearbox to zedworld for me a few years back. I know he had some major health issues a few years back so this could have been around that time. Might look back to see but from memory I ended up speaking to his son. I last saw him at LakeZ last year and he was considering selling his car due to continuing health issues. Plus I'd have thought, if the trading issues were that bad once (the then) TLO was finished looking in to the matter that the seller would have been refused to sell or possibly banned.

I seems to have been shared all over which is a good thing. I think nowadays the zed community is small enought to notice parts for this car coming up for sale if it's being broken. May just be a case of joyriders
