  1. Thanks mate. Will be rattle cans. Do I need to build up to the higher grits or could I for example just go to 600 now?
  2. I've been out sending for about 3.5 hours this afternoon. Anyway, I used 150g, do you'd think I should now use a finer grit, such as 240 even greater or will it be OK to paint as is?
  3. I'm not even sure what fasteners ID need to be honest
  4. Tbh, if you came to drive drive my car and red lined it in all the gears and started spinning the wheels etc... I wouldn't sell you my car lol
  5. We're the fasteners very much?
  6. There's a good video on YouTube showing where they are I believe. There'll probably be something in the FAQ section too. I'm on my mobile so can't look very easily
  7. ID start with checking all the hose clamps... There's loads of them mate.
  8. Just a normal spray can with plastic primer then? No clear coat I'm guessing?
  9. Pmsl at spin doctor. Lexx, wouldn't plastidip look the right colour? - - - Updated - - - Pmsl at spin doctor. Lexx, wouldn't plastidip look the right colour?
  10. Managed to buy the scuttle panels (both side) for £20 and they've just turned up. Frankly they're in great shap although need painting. What do you guys think? Paint the same code black as the car or just something like plasticoat or plastidip?
  11. I'm sure I saw some dump valves for sale with the pipes like that
  12. Vijay - how are you? Been a while since I've noticed you post. Yeah I was thinking the spring clips but more because Jubilee's are just a bit of a pain at times, especially the small ones
  13. Lol. Would take more than an air filter, turbos and an exhaust lol. Do they have evidence of the power levels?
  14. I've been having a bit more of a read on this. I sTill think it's possibly a good car, but I'm not sure I believe the dyno figures and stuff though. As has been pointed out, takes a decent amount of money to get good, safe power out of these. I'd be interested to see if it had bigger turbos, injectors, pipe work and so on. For the £7.5k it was up for though, you may be able to find a better gem. The good thing is that the add suggests the bodywork is good which is always a major plus but the rear sills on these seem to go quite easily so be sure to try and check that with it having skirts on.

And me for the full weekend... What more could you ask for?
  17. I wouldn't run a mile from them tbh. I think it's good advice to go and check them out properly, especially with the cat D situation... But to be honest, some insurers just can't be bothered to fix the smallest of damage so declare car beyond economical repair etc. So could have just needed a front wing and bumper or something. As mondo said, the vac piping looks odd in the first one too, but I've seen a hell of a lot worse. Probably been a garage doing something and put them round the front rather than the back or the engine. My real concern would be the low compression. Does it still have that issue? If so then I wouldn't bother with it personally - - - Updated - - - Where is it you live?
  18. Anyone remember the race clip on Ali G indahouse with the 2 Renault 5's?
  19. I'm thinking, I should replace all of these but I have a couple of different types so wondered what people see as the best ones. For example, the sprin clip type or small/ tiny jubilee clips etc
  20. Hahaha. I'll happily take your car up if you like ian. Mine won't be re-mapped or anything by then
  21. Do it man. I took mine off recently as a way of tracing a second stalling issue but found it to be something else... So they might be going back on once it's mapped and other more important stuff is done
  22. I just had a quick look but can't see it, so I'll tell you in case Josh, Jimmer or Noel don't see this. In short it made about 620 on the dyno and he now has the car back. From what I gather, he's over the moon with it.
