  1. This kind of strip graham http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=171522956847
  2. Im not too sure. Where are they and I'll check tomorrow
  3. Funkysi - I've just been reading this which advises to unplug the wastegat solenoids.... http://www.thumper300zx.com/z32/profecb2/profecb.htm Now unplug the wastegate solenoid electrical connectors (one on each side of the engine).
  4. You know I only look at the pictures
  5. I've not read it. The good thing about buying from a forum owned car is that you can sometimes look back at posts to see a car's history. not sure if he's on here or not
  6. I wonder why Neil Harris is selling up.
  7. Yeah, possibly works a bit different with these. - - - Updated - - - Would this be the same even though It's got external wastegates? I thought these would be different to the standard set up.
  8. Have a good day mate
  9. Were yours external? I don't think the wastegates will be shot to be honest as I get good power etc. I honestly recon it's just a pants solenoid tbh
  10. Will have a go. Just waiting for a straight connectors to come through the door and I'll check what the base is set at. Am I right in thinking that it's adjustable with that screw on the top? i think that sets the opening pressure on them.

Bird and Mrs Bird will be there and camping as normal.
  12. Yeah, Ashley was saying about bypassing the boost solenoid so it's no longer in the system. Then I'll drive it and see what boost it makes. Is that pretty much right
  13. It'd be a bit difficult to take them off the car. Passenger side wouldn't be too be but you'd probably have to drop the engine to take out the drivers side one
  14. Will look in to it next time it's in the air. It's on the passenger side that one. Anyway, any idea on what the pressure might be etc?
  15. Just another thought - what about looking out for a good TT rolling shell then just dropping a good engine etc in?
  16. This is the screw I mentioned, I'm not sure why there green snot on it though...
  17. I have to agree with Si here. Buy right once and save yourself the chew on. I know it's hard to find a perfect one but it may be worth it. As Oan suggested, wave your £4k around!
  18. Other thing you might want to consider is that the insurance companies will most likely class the conversion as a modification which in turn puts the prices up and will be a buyers consideration in the future when/if you come to sell the car. Personally I recon you should just wait and get a nice TT
  19. I know the ones Ive got have an adjustment screw if that helps.
  20. I've ordered a straight connector today from euro car parts. Didn't have any in stock locally but was free delivery.
  21. Like 17 - 18 stone.... If I'm sitting in it :)
  22. Yeah just the boost controller solenoid. So is it worth trying to you think?
  23. What would happen if I simply unplugged the power from the solenoid. I'm guessing these are 'normally open' solenoids so wouldn't that be just as good as bypassing it?
  24. Hope you still have a job at the end of the month mate
