  1. Ah man. I could have answered this one lol. I used the clock wires recently to wire my gauges
  2. Can I put my blue one forward as well please Craig. I can be there all weekend if you bed to know
  3. You do know that they're different though right?
  4. I really wanted his and Simon's opinions on some stuff
  5. Joel, I can bring some crutches you can hobble around with lol
  6. They might have had different colours in different year models maybe. But without tracing the wires, I'm not too sure where you'd go. I'd probably check where is wire is meant to go and check for continuity. Do you want me to try and work out where each wire is meant to go for you mate?
  7. Someone might have replaced a wire at some point perhaps. But if it was working before, I guess the wiring isn't the issue
  8. Would Steve have had access to all that info and pictures before buying?
  9. That makes a bot more sense. Thought I'd seen grade 3's that looked better years ago when I was considering having a car brought over. Hopefully it won't cost you too much to sort out mate.
  10. On the back of what Joel just wrote... We're you trying to get a show car? I'm just thinking wouldn't you need to go for a grade 4 to 5 for that? I remember seeing one that was a grade 4 ages ago and it was in really good shape
  11. Could it be worth trying some known good clocks to see if they work. I found a good write up some time ago (when mine weren't working) but I haven't been able to find it again. What the write up showed was underneath the rivet/screw holes basically looking really old and needing a good clean
  12. I can't click on any of the links posted. Well, I click them but get nothing
  13. Hi Deegan, I'd sent you pm a week or so back mate. I'm after a MAF, but also, what condition are the bits of trim that run along the bottom of the side windows. The weather strip between the window and door / quarter panels? Also, if not sold, could you give me a price on the uk spec clocks please. It'll depend on the back connections too. Many thanks.
  14. This doesn't sound good at all. We're there pictures of the car on Facebook?
  15. I'm certainly no mechanic, and probably know less than everyone else here. So no one take any of my words as gospel.... But when I was trying to find a leak, 5 psi just wasn't doing it. May be due to what Jeff is saying, or possibly if it's too big of a leak. So I went up to about 7psi and found it in minutes. Also found stuff easily in the past, but with smoke matches and then the air
  16. Stop having a rant haha. It's Just a general problem and no one is suggesting that it's anything to do with what the committee do. The committee is probably as good now as it ever was. I also don't mind the look and feel of the site at all. I doubt it's be that much better if updated tbh. It's just about getting more people posting
  17. When I was last doing mine, I was doing about 7psi. Under 5 didn't seem to help me find the issue sadly. Turned out to be an O ring on the oil dipstick lol
  18. Have a good day mate
  19. I have actually copied quite a lot of info that I have in spreadsheets as I was going to try and make a technical thing. I have all the wiki spaces pages (imagine how many hours that took), as well as quite a few of JaffTTs tech threads as well as I generally find them very helpful. I'll share once (and if) I get everything together as I thought something like that would really benefit people.
  20. In relation to the GDPR stuff, all other sites and forums have emailed me to say I need to opt in etc. My team at work have our businesses data protection liaison officers too so we are quite all over it. I guess it would come down to hat is actually personal data etc. In response to Jeff, I still love the forum, but I wish more people would post etc. As an example since Russ mentioned it... in th past, if someone did something like an iPad install (I remember an iPod one years ago), there'd have been loads of comments, whether people like it or not. I think there's less threads about what peopl are doing day to day as people just put it in the what I did today thread.
  21. Yeah. Just a shame they are series 1 aircon controls rather than the series 2 where you can tell it where to blow etc
