  1. There's no real reason I couldn't come apart from being a bit skint. Not sure I have £250 to throw away as such on the accommodation

Don't you possibly now need to remove the HIDs for the mot though?
  3. What's the fat lamb? The only real update I have is what I mentioned above tbh. Just want it back now
  4. It's the finding a set I really like. The wheels are staggered sizes
  5. Just do it man. Could bring it over to show you some time
  6. Will need to see if Neen wants to drive one down. I'm debating on whether to change bits on the blue one

Sorry to see a lack of reply to this mate. I've not been too active on here a just saw your post a couple of days back. I'm not too sure who's down Sheffield way. The majority here are the proper northeast. So Newcastle down to Stockton / Middlesbrough way. It does count Yorkshire too but no one from down there seems to bother much. You're always welcome to come along though any time you like, but it'll probably be an hour or so drive for you up the A1/M1. But it would be great to have you along:). I'm happy to try and arrange something if you like
  8. Assuming I have the black one back, I honestly know. It might come down to what I think people would like to see really. I could always add Neen on the the insurance on one and we could bring them both perhaps.
  9. So I put the car back together within about a week or 2 but then decided I wanted to re-shell it. Initially I really wanted to find another K reg K in GL1 black (series 2) as that's what I had, and I also think it's the nicest black on the cars being so dark and a straight black rather than metallic etc. As finding a car that was straight and didn't have the usual rusty arches and that was difficult to find, Dasstech had TedTheZed in his possession but still in Danny's name, and Gibster-TT surprisingly hadn't used that for the full metal jacket build. As I knew the work Danny had put into that car (see his rides section), it seemed a great choice and I knew it'd be very clean. Sadly it was a series 1 car though and was red, with a pretty much new paint job. Anyway, so Dasstech is painting the new shell (TedTheZed) black. Not the back I initially wanted, but a more limited Audi black that's found on some of the Audi RS cars. It's black, black panther crystal effect. So it's crystal rather than the normal metal flake or pearl type colours. I wanted a proper respiratory including the door shuts and engine bay etc as I don't really like seeing cars open the hood, and a different colour (like the blue car). Feels like half a paint job. So Dasstech is basically painting the full car and swapping everything over. The car is fully painted, but waiting on the finish of the build up. I believe the engine etc is in the car as is the interior (changed from S1 to S2 for the belts and my original interior). The new 2.5" IC pipework and Z1 BA Massives are currently being put in. I've been told it should nearly be finished by the end of next week and hopefully that will happen!
  10. That's cos I got it and left it sat on the drive doing nothing for ages. Sorted the engine/running side last summer along with a few deletes and stuff. but I was expecting the black car back by September. As that didn't happen, I had to pull my finger out and get the car on the road as Chloe started school and Neen was going to use the main car to take her. The cars been on the road for a while but still been messing around with it. - - - Updated - - - Thanks guys
  11. Apparently it should be pretty much finished at the end of next week. We shall see!
  12. Since the blue car is now finished, and I haven't been massively active here, I thought I'd post some photos. I know some have followed my billion photos on Facebook, but some aren't there, and won't see notifications etc as I haven't been posting on the various 300 pages. Being doing bits and pieces over the last year or so to get the car back on the road and to a decent point. It's by no means perfect, but I think it's come on very well. When I got it, the interior was all out. It had been re-wired to various custom buttons and switches. Even the aircon controls and readout was in the stereo surround. I couldn't get away with any of that and it took a while to re-do a fair bit behind the dash. It had no brakes, the servo and master cylinder had gone and the system was dry to the bone bar some old black Fluid still in the pipes. Brakes were all seized. There was No boot floor and no way to put the standard one in. I also changed the rear lights and painted the front and real grills. Hopefully you'll all think the car has come along well. Thank you to anyone that's helped with thoughts or advice along the way. I literally have hardly anything left to do. There the B-Pillar trim which Mondo is kindly sorting, then I need to decide what to do with the stereo surround. Here's some photos...
  13. No I wasn't mate. It's clearly just a natural talent
  14. Thanks Alic. Hopefully Ash will comment. I don't really want a car that becomes fairly undriveable but like the thought of the extra grunt
  15. Why can't you report any feedback? You not got the car or something?
  16. Welcome to the club. The interior looks great
  17. Welcome to the club Ryan. Sounds like a great car you have and like the other, I'm looking forward to the pictures:) For the leather, we have a member / trader called Mondo. He'll be the man to see about the leather
  18. Thanks Alic. I'm more thinking of how to increase the speed of the car really. The black one is 5-600 brake so I'm wondering if there's much benefit to go this route
  19. The idle switch should be on. But I can't remember if the free version of conzult shows the hard idle switch or not. Just change the TPS and just see the voltage reading on conzult. If the hard idle switch was off, the revs will be circa 1500 rpm but I looking at the original video, i doubt itll be an issue. If necessary, you can always just unplug it to get it working right again. The AAC bit I was meaning is the unit on the back of the engine (passenger side). There's a screw that controls the base idle. After you set the TPS, plug the grey oval connector and turn the screw to drop the base idle to around 700rpm (keep turning and checking conzult). When you get to that RPM, plug the TPS connector back in and the revs should pick up slightly. Now that you have the idle set, the AAC should be much lower. If you haven't got somewhere near to 15%, you most likely have an air leak. The engine needs to be fully warm here. Hope that makes sense
  20. For a start, your TPS is massively too low at .34v, it should be more like .44v. Your AAC is too high as well. Start by fixing the TPS, then get the car fully upto temperature. Then You'll need to sort the idle out. You should be able to get the AAC down to 15, if you cant get down near there, you havr an air leak
  21. Just wanting people's thoughts on whether it's worth while. On both standard and modified cars. I know you lose some top end speed, but I doubt I'll ever be trying to travel at 190 or whatever the top speed is
  22. Just thinking that when I needed some, I got a couple of set found real quick so didn't think they were sought after
  23. Typical. I have a billion bolts and screws, but none of them lol
