  1. Definately no peaks or valleys in Hertfordshire, guess its a rouse to stop drivers turning up for sprints etc with the associated carnage!!! A done deal with the local council I suspect... However good to know where it is now though, will give it a go next time I'm north of the border, as hor top gear, definately on the slide!.
  2. What a final, would have celebrated that final whoever was playing, but Murray was as good as any champion on the centre court, the Scotsman, who lives in England, coached by a Czech and recognised today as a British win for all his fans, worldwide. Outstanding and made me proud to Cheer him on as an Englishman and part of these British Isles! If I owned one i would have waved the Saltire alongside the Union flag. Interesting point, is that Lendl, who never won Wimbledon believes Murray is only at 20% of where he wants him to be as a player and since coaching him Murray has gone from finalist to Olympic champion, US Open an now Wimbledon Champion in one year...amazing!
  3. For the money, the results I've had from the Tec 2000 products has been significant and not least because the results were noticeable quickly. For me Terraclean is an aggresive carbon and fuel cleaner, which may I guess cause issues in some cars, but only for the fact these cars are already inefficient due to the level of wear that carbonisation has been able to find a home! Tec 2000 is a fuel immulsifier and is designed in part to remove the moisture from the fuel tank and fuel path which gathers over time from the various temp changes in garages fuel tanks as well as our own. Because the water is seperate from the fuel it creates burn issues in the fuel as well as well as corrosion along the fuel Path. The product allows the water and moisture in the system to be burnt off and in turn breaks down the fuel path of rust debris creating a cleaner delivery . The second part of the treatment is a cleaner for the injectors, valves and cylinders, but mort importantly the air mixture burn allows the treatment up de carbon the exhaust, cats to the tail. It's hard to imagine that a simple additive used ideally at service intervals and perhaps twice a year can do so much, but certainly my results are way better than I expected and I am sure by the second tank of fuel after all the moisture has gone will complete the process. Sorry for the long winded response, but for me it's a Tenner well spent, before you go for a more aggresive solution if needed. Steve
  4. Well that's that then! If Jimmer laughed we shouldn't believe... Sorry but my thread response was based on trial and results of both tecs. I believe Terraclean is probably a more aggressive treatment for carbon removal and may indeed produce some after treatment results that may affect and poorly maintained or worn engine, where'as the Tec 2000 is a emulsifying treatment that cleans deposits and moisture from the fuel tank to the exhaust, not just the engine from fuel filter. Neither are miracle cures for an engine that's got problems, but I carboned up engine will not operate valves and firing in any efficient manner, so if a treatment sorts it out, then why not. Anyway each to their own, I tried it, not laughed at it and so far the results have been excellent in particular for the cheaper Tec 2000.
  5. Have already tried it on my mums Avensis (51 plate) so although low mileage at about 45K it has only really had local mileage running so a good carbon candidate for a clean. Failed it's MOT on emissions and as I wanted to try Terraclean before doing the rest of the cars and vans, decided to give it a try. To be honest the garage doing the job, seemed a little clueless, the did't do there own CO2 print out before they started, instead relying on the MOT station report and then failed to connect the fuel bypass properley causing a leak of the Pure fuel feed from the machine over the hot engine!!!...stood well back:blink: So firstly it will cost about £100-£120 for a Z to be treated, The fuel system is the only part to be cleaned so engine internals etc, and the most obvious change would be the engine was obvioulsy quieter after the 40 minute treatment. The car certainly felt smoother and a little more responsive, but then some of these things can be almost subliminal because you want it to be better! My Mum, has felt the car is more responsive and quieter, but no reports yet on consumption improvement, as for the CO2, the car did improve significantly as you would expect on a £100 quid treatment. Is it worth it? well I have no doubt that it improves and cleans the car engine and firing components, as for whether it may reduce compression, because of carbon removal? well I would rather know the engine was clean and operating more efficiently, then choked up with carbon, which compression or not would reduce performance. It doesn't matter whether a Z is tested or any other car, as results will differ on every vehicle due to original engine condition, age, maintenance etc I looked into getting the possibility of a franchise for this system, but as yet no one from the company has got back to me, and I think the two types of entry into supporting Terraclean (both expensive) may force some franchises to the door as I don't think there is that much uptake after the Hype. I believe Terraclean want £10k for the machine (petrol or diesel) and charge about £20-£25 per consumable! or a lease deal on the Machine and higher consumable cost is the other option. So the cost of the clean is not because of the technology involved but the cost of the hardware.... I have no invested interest in my following suggestion (although I am thinking about doing so) but after the Terraclean I spoke to the Garage who look after my Vans and after discussing the merits of Terraclean, he suggested I try another sauce that he supplied...here we go, i thought, another magic potion! Having explained that this is a fuel additive (forget Redex et all) which, you add to the fuel tank which then emulsifies all the water droplets in the tank and then runs right through the fuel system and exhaust, removing all the rust and water deposits on route, and at the same time stripping the carbon from the engine and exhaust, I felt for ony £15 was worth a try! The only issue I had concerns on, was that Terraclean is an immediate result (good or not so good) but he assured me that within a few miles I would start to notice a difference, so for £15 it was worth a shot. I have tried it first on my Movano van, which has sounded like a bag of nails and always rough started, then following those results I have added it to my BMW E39 and The Passat Estate, results are astonishing!! The Movano, is substantially quieter and smoother to drive, I am certainly using less fuel and the engine pick up and percformance have definatley improved. The BMW 525D has always had a slightly rough idle and hesitancy in initial pick up and despite many additives off the shelf, cleaning the plenum and EGR, this was going to be next for the Terraclean, however this additive has given the engine a new lease of life, running at least 500rpm lower than previously and 70-80mph (30mph @ 900rpm) the engine start is immediate and it is s smooth and quiet! The Passat is a 150k ex fleet on an 06 plate and not been particuarly well recently, however the result of the additive were perhaps the most significant of all the vehicles as with about 4 miles of leaving the garage arriving home, the wife said what a good job they had done on the engine as it felt smoother. (at this point i hadn't told her about the additiive or that the garage hadn't touched the engine) The Passat after 10-20 miles was a different car, smoother, much quicker and more economical. So the Sauce i'm talking about is from a company called Tec 2000, I have no involvement in the company, but am now a fan, my point of this response is that Terraclean cost about £15-£20 for the basic consumables, the rest in, marketing and margin, it only cleans the fuel system, but does appear to work and the results are immediate. Tec 2000, cost in raw consumables is about £15 and cleans from fuel tank to exhaust tailpipe and you might have to wait a several miles for the results to start appearing and a second fill up by the time the Additive has done it's complete process, but I have tried both now and there are merits for both systems, but at that price point and the results I have had, I will be using Tec 2000 before I venture further and spend more for alternative results. This is there website if you want further information http://www.tec-2000.co.uk/tec2000/tec2000.php I make no bones about the fact I might be looking to sell there products because I see benefits in other automotive areas that I am involved in, so may well end up being able to source these for forum, but the website is there and I am sure they will provide you with a list of dealers who can supply if anyone is interested...however if you get stuck, I can pick some up from my Garage and forward on. Well worth a try, before you look at expensive alternatives. Steve
  6. Think the Portugese authorities should be alerted to Jeff's alledged dodgy dealings!.....that way we get to keep him. LOL Jeff, your diagnosis and handling of this issue has again been spot on...again!, Surreyseagull66 has had everything from being sold auto boxes to Low life auto mechanics trying to rip him off! you even posted a how to, should our man have wanted to sort the problem himself...no vested interest other than the services are there if needed and they were. Sorry for slight thread drift, but thought it worth a mention. Nice one!
  7. I use Saucony Hurricane shoes, had them reccomended following damage to both achillies tendons as a result of over pronation in the foot (rolling out). they were about £90 and the originals i bought were Grid models. After going to a specialist sports shoe shop and purchasing the first pair, i now use http://www.sportsshoes.com, they give alot of technical info aboout shoe types and provide icons for each shoe type...I don't know whether Saucony are a stand out value brand, but they worked for me in helping me recover mobility.
  8. Strong potential turn out, I hope I can make it as I still need to get the engine changed!, would be good to meet so many members in one hit..
  9. Going to be hot next week, might attempt the engine change before "we're all doomed"!
  10. Absolutley superb!... love the way Red Bull embrace extreme sports then sponsor these off shoots, stunning ballsy stunt riding..good find Jaikai
  11. Mark and who else to run Zedworld.... Perhaps Noz for the tuning? Good luck whoevers involved there's some good knowledge going there!
  12. Gutted to have not been able to get the Jeff Zedworld treatment on the zed before it gave up the ghost, but did receive much advice and help on the way! Happy retirement Jeff and wishing you and lynda a great retirement in Portugal.
  13. Despite reading the posts on this forum several times a day , I completely missed the fact that Jeff was retiring!!! So with that in mind, happy retirement Jeff, and the very best of luck to you Mark in taking over Zedworld, I'm sure you will bring some great new services to an already great service, well done!
  14. I'd move out of the way for that, Interior definatley understated compared to the rest of the car, but at that money i'd sit on a beer crate if I could afford it, Lol
  15. Nice Job Mate...can't believe people like that, I wouldn't dream of getting rid of something with that sort of sentimental value, shows what a little opportunity and some elbow grease can do...enjoy your Stella, Stellaz
  16. Your Welcome.. have a great time
  17. Good to hear your going..they need all the support that they can get this year! Silverstones new layout has been improved again this year for spectators (go by there interactive map on the website to get your bearings,) but this is my two penneth worth as have attended the last three years (been 10 times in total) and got a good feel on where we like to watch. International Pit Straight: The new starting grid for the race has little general spectating because of the large stands, but go to Abbey (early) for the first bend (flat out) which also gives view of the pit exit. Farm: The new complex has the cars braking hard for potential overtaking (sat there last year and saw Zero overtakes) personaly don't bother the casr are close up but the action's not. Wellington Straight: First of the DRS Zones and they have opened up both sides for standing spectators, very quick but limited on space. Luffield: Great Viewing, Cars brake after wellington, usualy good overtaking and a few off's, good vantage point but get there early as it gets busy . Woodcote: Fast exit from Luffield onto National Straight, plenty of viewing although a little tight on space in front of Grandstands. National Straight Flat out, but don't see much of the race, blink and the cars are gone Copse. Elevated general spectating, mind blowing speed of the cars through this right hander, often close quarters. Maggots, Beckets Complex: Want to see what seperates a Grand Prix car from any other race series, watch the direction change as the come up from Copse and set up for the Hangar straight, go to the end of the complex and there is an excellent bank, where you can get as low as the cars, or view higher up and catch other parts of the circuit as well. Hangar straight: The new and second DRS zone for the race, should of had this last year! could well be awesome, cars overtaking approaching 200mph, you can view the whole length of Hangar straight and watch them exit Becketts and turn in for Stowe. Stowe and Vale: This year these for me are going to be the hotpsot for action, Stowe is fast wide and straight of the back of Hangar, if the cars are using DRS this is where they will be looking to pass or at least get along side for Vale, good open viewing areas here. (if your camping at Woodlands, this is the nearest to you) Vale: Watched from here two years ago, saw so much action, including Hamiltons last corner lunge on Massa, Vale is the last fast section before the slow Club corner, its wide viewing with a large spectator area as the Grandstands are set back, you can get very close to the cars and see the entry to the Pit lane. For my money Vale and Stowe are your best bet, followed by Luffield, the crowds in these areas are electric and the longest periods of cars in view. Silverstone has made a lot of effort to provide better spectator zones with more raised banks and there is a large TV screen in view wherever you are. Don't forget the live concert after the race which is excellent and the Guiness Bar (several of them) if it takes your fancy. Take a chair or a cool box and get your spot early...as I say if your going for the weekend, walk the circuit during practice and gauge the best areas. Have a great one, Steve
  18. Mondo when you flashed the pictures of your new Zed, It confirmed for me how I wanted to get my car looking, the rear spoiler like Garys is Knackered and is coming off and will stay that way..personaly I think your car stands out because of the clean look. I think the 300zx sometimes looses its smooth profile because some spoilers can break up abruptly what is a great rear end...everyones individual but I think the clean smooth look is the business.
  19. Fishing?!!? thought this was thread was about ripping up the streets and enlightening the youth of today, on how a good Zed should go...but fishing? nodding off now. Lol
  20. Sure they weren't looking at the poor girls trying to get out of the car, its getting tight for my 11 year Old!! Hope they had a great night, certainly had the better weather and very cool that they should shout out for the Zed rather than the usual Limo Drivval..
  21. 486 with a short burst up to 650 with the rocket you stuck up the exhaust!!! Lol!
  22. Blimey, them 'n' us ...I don't know tsk.. tsk..
  23. Cheers Gary!, yes mate, I don't know why it's that one in particular, no biggy, I was just going to commend him on the car as that is how mine should look when reworked...
  24. Strangely the only thread i cannot respond on, which earlier I was going to is, Mondos 91 TT thread...only displays quote button, which then throws up permissions not available. I hadn't checked the others at the time, but I can repsond on all but the above....bit odd!
  25. Ok, being sad having my own thread conversation, seems this is the only section you can reply! so again can the green button be pressed. Thanks
