  1. No wasn't me, but for reference are these a direct fit to the 300zx and the equivalent of a T28?
  2. Scrambled my brain cells!
  3. Like the bumper! Any ideas on what it is?
  4. Very good condition..... Apart from the 2 inch crack that you can see!!! Lol!
  5. Mines fitted with Mania 19" 8.5 j front & 9.5j rears, car is not lowered yet. Similar to your Varrstoen rims. Not sure why, but my signature pic has dissapeared? but click on the link below for the image
  6. I think Ebays rep is going down the toilet , you hear so many people having issues with both buying and selling, but the most worrying is as a seller, where protection from unscrupulous buyers is virtually non existant. eBay resolution service is a farce as is the feedback tool.
  7. Look great, impressed that they will custom for you, but for me the speedo could prove expensive.... The rev counter is ideal, but whilst you have the magic 200 shown , the needles going to spend must of it's time in the 1st 3rd of the dial and with minimal increments to gauge your speed, particularly in the 30/50 range, which could catch you out with speed camera as etc.!! Think I would of sacrificed the 200 for a more detailed increment dial, otherwise very impressed!
  8. Cheaper clay bars, prices are crazy for AG & MEG products.
  9. Well done Stu, perseverance brings reward, now you have to save for the cruise fuel !!!
  10. I'm fillin up!! Shame the last 16 years have seen us rollback the protections against europes excesses and the social insecurities we now have which have left our society divided and always looking for the legal scapegoat to lay blame for our own foibles at other peoples feet. Not sure Mrs T didn't push to far the free enterprise " loadsamoney" culture that all most certainly encouredged the selfish society that we seem to live in now, but she would never have allowed the human rights act to poison the british culture of humanity and irreverance in the face of adversity that now Plagues our nation " thankyou mrs Blair " , but without doubt we would never have recovered our self confidence, respect and sense of national pride as so well highlighted during a great year of sport and culture celebration last year. She would always understandably have her detractors, but like Churchill, she was the right " bloke " for the job. I too will have a toast to her and hope one day we will see her like again, whatever side of the House, to suit our times.
  11. Mad stuff, bet they love you in morrisons on a damp weekend.. Lol
  12. That's heat extraction for the intercooler and/ or rad I think? Would be a closed channel from the engine. Remember the GT40 using bonnet scoops to expidite the air from the bonnet mounted rads.
  13. Yep form over function...no problems in OZ with Rain most of the year, in the Uk the standing water's going to drip on to the battery looking at those vents!, all said top job and finish.
  14. Form over function! Unless the car needs it for additional cooling and the vent location is proven to help, then your adding extra drag to the airflow and as z32 bolt said, could be opening up reliability issues by doing the opposite of what they are designed to achieve! Plenty of good looking mods available without chopping the bonnets smooth looks.
  15. Thus the vague estimate! A modded 300zx could be cosmetic, mechanical or both, does it have service history, belonged to a previous member?...anything with issues, that requires more than elbow grease is only worth what you want to pay, otherwise I think Baz is pretty well on the mark.. offer the lowest you can get, (always reduces dissapointment when if goes wrong,)and with any luck you will get yourself a bargain.
  16. What I've done for the last 4 months, looked at it under the cover and try to convince myself that changing the engine will be a breeze!!!
  17. Are you hiring a Car down there as Cornwall has many great sights, villages, Beaches and attractions, but many are out in the sticks without public transport..only about 5 hours from the wirral to drive? Visits worth a look. St Ives, Penzance, Harbours of Mevagissey, Polperro, Port Issacs. Atrractions include Eden Project, Flambards and St Micheals mount....more impotantly indoor and outdoor Karting in Plymouth  Have a good one and take a brolley!!
  18. 39 years on and still can't solve it! Won't be entering world champs this year then..

I assumed, as you live in Hants, that you may have worked at their (then?) factory in Portsmouth...." McClaren moved out of Portsmouth a few years ago after only a short period of occupation a bespoke facility to build the chassis and bodies of the SLR and MP4-c. As all cars were finally assembled at the technology centre they finally built a dedicated sports car factory alongside the F1 premises. As for Rowan Atkinson, he may have trouble handling his F1 but he's no slouch when it comes to throwing his Mkiv jag around Goodwood
  20. A good pair of binos looking to the left of the plough (spoon side), at about 20:00 hrs is the best suggested time. Mind you it's bound to be raining and totally obscured, so may as well dust of Armegeddon and watch Mr Willis save the world!
  21. Mate of mine had one back in early 80's, plan was to go to British GP in 83, but kept overheating every few miles, bailed out at farnborough and jumped into his mates 2000e which got us there in the end. Great looking motor with good turn of speed, his was black and very low, but he moved it on as it was plagued with problems. Don't see them in the mags very often now.
  22. Remember the first run with the wife and boy in ours, running up the A3 between Guildford and the M25, when joined by a Sagaris who promptly threw down the gauntlet to see what I had. After educating my then 10 year old on the merits of behaving sensibly in the face of obvious show offs and resisting taking the the bait! He responded sure dad, now can we go get the TVR!! Following a road legal! tit for tat passing, all the other slower cars.....we arrived at our junction for the M25 exit only to be followed down by said TVR owner.. Not sure where this was going to lead too, we were much amused that as he pulled alongside and gave a big thumbs up mouthing the words, respect, great car! and proceeded stupidly quick to the opposite side of the motorway junction rejoining the A3.... Sure he could of wopped us, but he was clearly taken aback to our turn of speed whenever he passed us, especially given the age defecit we had. So much so to divert his journey to acknowledge it. Seems real petrol heads recognise stand out motors when they see them. Look forward to getting back on the road and doing it all again.
  23. Sell and install a lot of Sonos into multi - room and home theatre systems, excellent system and easily integrated to wifi and networked AV
  24. Why indeed? Buys a Boxster, too embarrased to drive it, turns it into a sheep in Wolfs clothing, cos can't afford the real deal and too embarrassed to drive it! Good effort, but I don't go for these lookalike kits.
  25. Thought it alread had, with this man flu I've got, lol Still save me having to face removing the engine!
