  1. If there down pipes...which way do you go up? Lol
  2. You may want to drop him a polite!! email and ask him to stop trying to sell your car then... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-300-ZX-24V-V6-/271280597833?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f29956b49
  3. Nice looking that one Mark, was watching it on Ebay, did you win the bid or buy it off one off the other sites/Mags....thought it looked a lot of car for the money, specially with the bucket load of spares....well done!
  4. Rich, it would be good to see how each stage after a Remap improves the performance, a handy bench mark for any rebuild, mod project...think a build thread is in order.!
  5. Yep, got the point about the budget but for a cople of hundred extra he could maximise the mapping performance and cost by adding some upgraded SMICS and allowing the Turbo's to breathe properly. Either way that car deserves a good motor!
  6. Wouldn't upgrading the intercoolers be a pre-requisite when running performance turbo's, otherwise any map would only be able to tap part of the potential power, also did the engine get rebuilt with forged internals ? as your going to be putting a lot of potential power through an old unit.
  7. That's a nicely planted Zed Buddy, wecome to the forum.
  8. Welcome aboard Wayne, wouldn't happen to ba a red one from worthing would it?....either way look forward to some piccies!......its the law!!!, sort of
  9. Can't see anything wrong with those!....
  10. Cleaning up the engine bay like that takes an immense amount of thought and skill, even for an N/A! I like the GT3 seats although I think the stock 300zx seats are superb, as for the cars stance...horrible, I hate slammed vehicles they always look lika an Elephants been let loose in a car park. Having said that the detail and delivery on this car is outstanding.
  11. Well done mate, was going to suggest that as a last resort, but the core often breaks especially if its thin....good result though!
  12. Did you not agree the value before accepting the policy? As said previously, values are based upon market conditions to replace and not based on the max value of expenditure you have invested in the car! especially if it was at 15K Did you pay the policy in a lump sum or by payments as you can cancel any policy at any time (for instance if you sold your car!) it's just easier to keep your money on a payment plan, than to claim back a lump sum, although they might take a small premium to cover early settlement! Good luck with it and hope it gets sorted amicably!
  13. Hi Alex, welcome aboard, looks like your in Knowle! is that right? I'm up the A3 in Lovedean, but I know a few forum members are in fareham so theres plenty of local help if you need it. Enjoy the banter, join in when you can and hope we all get to meets at some point.
  14. Yeh!, more helpers to wash your car, congrats to you, the missus and your Daughter, hope all goes well.
  15. Do you know the cable size inner and outer core?. I should have some smaller F-type connectors I can send you, or you may have to go the BNC connection route but you need a crimping tool for a tight fit!! you also could probably get away with soldering the cables using m/f RCA Video connectors.
  16. Light pressure (spray pattern) water of light dirt Two buckets one for wash with shampoo one for rinse after each sponge on the car. Rinse water off with light spray or fresh water and good quality wash mitt...dont use it like a glove (creates pressure on the surface and could trap rogue contaminants) Dry with synthetic cloth and wipe over with microfibre. Use a Clay bar treatment to lift any road dirt form the paint Apply a good paint cleaner dry off with Microfibre Apply good quality polish and use hand or electric polisher, poish off with microfibre If swirls apparent, apply anti swirl polish as above Then a coat of Wax if required. Car should be swirl free and causing you eye pain with shiney finish, LOL! Important thing is not to mix clean and dirty dirty water so ideally use two buckets and never presuure wash the car when dirty or those nice little grains of dirt and grime will happily etch themselves into your paintwork! Every one has there own way of doing things..and when I want to do it properly this is mine. For an inbetween polish you can get good all in one shampoo that should make the job quick and simple.
  17. I,m not with them...yet! but I understand the three nentwork has created an ultra fast 3G network that is only a little slower than the new 4G service which is being charged for extra by most operators, despite poor coverage, as I understand it they don't charge extra for this and even if you go to 4G in the future they will not charge their clients the extra!...this speed benefit may be limited to specific areas though, as is all high speed data. Worth considering given your Data requirements
  18. Good News! Hope you get it sorted, if still an issue let me know!
  19. That's the one for me, typifies how a Zed should live it's life....brilliant Si.
  20. Chocolate, Biscuits and Spitfire, i always found!!....sorry Vods, that doesn't help much does it?
  21. Baz did get rid of his Wide Arse! if that's what your talking about......
  22. Right! 60 days ,then before and after shots!....make it look worth it please, it might convince myself to have a go...so need to!!, good luck!
  23. Happy Birthday Onslow....show us your cake!!
  24. try this thread for a discussion. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?170811-Engine-cleaning-internals&highlight=terraclean I have used Terraclean and another product with varying results. I also met Ed China and the owner of the UK Franchise at Goodwood and discussed the prospect of a discount for Club Members, which he was very receptive too, so may be taking this further in due course.
