June Go Karts & Pub Luncheons
Got a busy month in June, but might be worth considering Thruxton, has a superb outdoor track (2) and is central to all areas of the compass....plus, good pubs in the area. I guess it's weather permitting but will make a good drive out for those with their Z on the road!!!..............:cursing:

Nissan finally bringing back a small hatchback!
NMUK are leaning on a lot of market strength and momentum with their recent products and with the Nismo brand, although flawed in it's application on the Joke...sorry! Juke, shows they have a premium performance brand with real history to work with, just needs the right people with a bit of balls to buck the trend and we could see some promising kit.

Nissan finally bringing back a small hatchback!
Euro Fodder for us! Came back from Florida in April, amazed how big the Nissan brand is there and the choice of cars we don't see. Even Ford's Explorer was a treat! Didn't see many Z32's but saw a nice SWB in Universal 's Car park.....stood out from the rest..Pic's on my mobile so can't show yet!

Quiet around these parts
I always say the question you didn't ask is the stupid question, but I think a sense of inexperience to join in on technical threads is a common issue! I like many it seems, when you read new threads probably entered the ZX scene to enjoy a great car and enjoy the banter from one or two good forums sites, then enjoy the meets and of course the cars. But it has been noticeable that many buy into the cars having done the best research they can only to find they go wrong quickly after buying , often quite badly, before you get a chance to use them. Mine is still on the drive, still awaiting my enthusiasm to engage in an engine pull as a result of probably a duff bearing, this has been the case for getting on for two years, finances and time all having a part in this delay, but I often look at the car and feel was it worth it, barely a few months light use and then it's off the road. I think my point is that more and more threads seem to come up about problems with recently purchased cars that new owners are turned off and bail out of the scene asap. threads therefore are more on recovery of problems than constructive threads (for the scene) covering developments and improvements. I myself have not responded to many threads, because there is little new or of interest as the issues are often recirculated, it doesn't help when you don't have a car to enjoy and contribute to with your own experiences of course. As for the Tech threads Jeff, I really find them useful as I am still trying to learn about the car and it's technical attributes and the experience you and others have contributed to this site is for me and I am sure others invaluable. So thank you for that.

RIP a safe classroom!
Sadly, he is under 16 and therefore a minor...he will get a custodial of about 5 years with early release, just like the Bulger boys did! Need common sense to prevail and not go the way of American schools, this is a tragic case and really feel for the Pupils and Teachers and especially the Family and relatives. Sad Business

RIP Peaches Geldof
Always thought the parents are meant to be the Role models, so where were they (or one of them at least), when you saw the turn out of celebrity old soaks and ex (current addicts) it's no wonder the Girl couldn't find her way, got to fear for the Kids in the future...who will they turn too. Sad!

R.I.P 20 years Arton senna and Roland Razenburger
The infamous Imola race of 94, should never have been held. The circuit fell short of the many safety requirements of the day. Barrichello survived his horrendous accident by the grace of his God and the fact he was good to go the following day was astounding. I remember watching the accident and couldn't believe the impact that he took, albeit thankfully into the tyres. the Imola chicane was a half thought and the curbs set to high causing many cars to be launched! Then we had the Ratzenberger accident that we later learned to be as a result of a failed front wing caused during an off across the gravel, although some miserable individuals wanted to place the blame on his driving ability!. The Start accident cased injury amongst nine spectators, one seriously by a flying tyre and debris, but still the race went on.... then Senna! The marshalling of the race was appalling, even during the attempts to save Ayrton, with multiple safety vehicles on the track including a helicopter the Larrousse of Eric Comas was released from the pits (red flagged race) to accelerate at full speed around the Tamberello. only to be urgently flagged down by the Marshalls, his car stopping amongst the various safety vehicles...beggars belief! It was later found out that Ayrton had a long conversation with Cid Watkins (chief Medical doctor) about whether the race or he should go on, Cid said quit and come fishing with me, but Ayrton felt there was still unfinished business for him in F1. When his crashed car was checked over they found an Austrian Flag wrapped up, the speculation being that it was a tribute to Ratzenberger, or he was going to fly it when the race finished, he never got the chance. Both drivers died at the circuit, the Italians have a unwritten law that no driver is certified dead at the circuit (cannot be sued) which is why the notifications came from the hospital, it was always their way to not let it appear that their own emergency services had not been able to respond quick enough, although in these instances there would be nothing they could of done to help either driver. This weekend was the darkest in modern F1 history, perhaps in any period, but there have been many great drivers who have lost their lives in the sport they all loved, some in the most appalling of accidents. But for nothing else F1 changed for the better in at least safety, although I fear that with the current crop of drivers who seem to consider themselves invincible and a design of car that has already shown a peculiar tendency to dive under another car in an accident makes be wonder if the god for bid the writing might be on the wall again. I tip my hat to Senna, Ratzenberger and all the other F1 drivers who have given themselves for the sport they competed in, successfully or otherwise in order that I, and millions of others can continue to watch and enjoy the sport knowing that it is now at least, safer than It ever was.

I noticed a change in engine performance on my Van and VW quite quickly, but then added it to only a quarter tank (impatient, LOL) No negative issues since!

is this good value or should I walk
Agree with all the above!, that sport of money or anywhere near it, you should be looking at a clean rust free model, there are and have been some good ones for sale on the forum recently and there is a very good stock clean dealer supplied one on eBay for £4k! I should take a little time and look around more, start first with the cars for sale on here, as if nothing else you can for the most part check back on their history by searching posts. Good luck and buy well.

Wide arch.....Fill in the holes to go for the smooth look?
I'm not so sure!, not easy to tell without the number plate on, but I think the driving lights echo the projector lights in the main units, that said your bumper is exceptionally smooth and well fitted so perhaps it will work.....that was helpful wasn't it!!!!! By the way, like the viewpoint your using (top of the hill at Goodwood) but swing the car round and get the South Downs in next time, Lol!

Most amusing 'repair' job you've ever encountered?
I was called into a school many moon's ago to repair a Projector ceiling mount that had come loose!....but there were no bolts, screws or anything fixings into the concrete above the ceiling tiles?...a closer inspection and a little tug and the whole thing came away in my hand, it had been glued up with mastic! Those little darlings sitting underneath the projector never knew how close they came to wearing one!:sweatdrop:

So I bought a new 300zx...
Bargain find Baz, well done! Amazing what a quick brush up can do. Question though? Did all 99 spec Z32's have a standard bumper with intakes for intercoolers as yours is an N/A right? Colour is stunning and love those wheels..
