  2. as you might haveread in a post earlier this year a tree fell on my car in the gales , i got off quite lightly with only the wind breaking of the drivers side mirror , denting the bonnet and wing slightly , however the legacy is the mirrors no longer electrically function , ( either of them ) the dashboard centre console clock is now dead and the intermittent wipe no longer works ??? i have no circuit diagram of the wiring or fuse feed layout so cant trace it back , the fuse box cover is of no help at all as neither intermittent wipe , clock . or mirrors are shown as fed devices, anybody on here got any ideas ????
  3. "how many ladies do i pull in this car" obvioulsy calls his todger "lady" and pulls it quite often ....do i feel another thread coming on ?? what do you or your missus call your todger ??.........
  4. i had a similar problem with my old vectra V6 ....i cured it by resetting the electronics dissconected the battery and left it for an hour before re connecting ...it was just a glitch because the car had been stood for a month while i was at work worth a try mate Steve
  5. if you have a friend in a garage or motor business this worked for me once but im pretty sure it would be a single shot trick you couldnt use it again plead guilty but say you did not know what speed you were doing but it wasnt excessive and you were just keeping pace with other road users ,as your speedo cable / sensor had just broken prior to the incident and you had taken it the same day to be repaired before heading home as you were 90% into the journey and nearer the garage than the safety of the home where a repair could have been done off the road , have your friend write a receipt dated and timed just after the incident and CLUE him up as the piggies might come a snorting and an oinking to verify your story with him. ...... its only up to their good will that they may let you off as they did me ..worth a try if you can get some help from a dealer
  6. no pic of you...........i think something is not quite right here !!! i didnt post a pic of myself as my fantastic good looks and athleticly fine chisseled torso would simply inhibit anybody else from posting theirs. honest :)))))

  18. first thing to do when you get home dissconect the battery and leave off for an hour recconect this should reset your ECU , it will start learning again at this point , make sure that the filter you have put in has not got the oil soaked filter element these will contaminate the MAF and it will make your car drive like its on 2 pots also check you havent got the MAF damp with intake air if it has been raining etc etc hope that helps steve
  19. Basically means there is not enough fuel getting into the combustion chamber, this is not good because if the engine is under load , ie going up hill foot to the floor the engine could suffer from pinking , ( pre dettonation ) this can cause holes in the pistons due to massive heat build up , it could be that the fuel pressure regulator is faulty or you could have a fuel leak , i know it sounds crazy but sometimes the fuel filler cap breather hole becomes blocked this causes a vacume in teh fuel tank that the fuel pump can not overcome and the fuel supply is diminished under load , try taking off the fuel filler cap and cleaning the breather hole with an opened out paper clip good luck Steve
  20. try these , Graham there is very good and helpfull he can probably source you one and send it in the post to you http://www.westgatetyres.co.uk good luck mate you could have borrowed my spare OE alloys but its too far away for you to have them picked up steve
  21. PTU imo , do you have a spare to swop it out with ?? they can be repaired at home but its not too easy , try doing a search on the FAQ or tech advice about the repair method Steve
  22. if you are a sad old git like me you would have remembered it check this out i NPMSL.......... http://rainbow.arch.scriptmania.com/rainbow_tv_episode.html steve
  23. powerflow twin upswept endpipes and full de cat custom build 400quid or thereabouts had the exhaust 18 months no problems at all worth the money in my opinion but if your going new exhaust, intake route its worth the extra to get the biggest bore pipework you can it pays dividends in power and tunability later on
  24. lovely ..think ill have a re spray done
