  1. to make the front fogs brighter by over 50% take out the front fog bulb then the fog light and dissmantle the lens from the reflector its only 4 x 10mm nuts and a phillips screw i think from memory carefully remove the anti dazzle cap by rocking it back and forth , it will come away clean no problems .........put it all together and instant improvement .......
  2. send it to trading standards asking for an octane check or any private laboratory or send to me i will just mix it with lemonade and drink it ..if i go blind for an hour its 95 if i dont its 92 ...simple :))))
  3. if its a jap import +7 is normal full boost to check and be sure do a diagnostic its in the FAQ section how to do without a conzult using only ignition lights steve
  4. bite the bullet. buy the best bits you can afford and do the work yourself, it is not difficult , if you need a hand give a local good mechanic a call and ask if he is available for a few hours on an evening to help with an engine rebuild ......its another option and then at least you know its been done properly with no cut corners because you have done it yourself
  5. lot of work gone into it dont knock it .....a 300zx is still a nissan ..lets not get snobby on this forum its not what i believe its about ..the point is both our cars would destroy machines with full pedigree names , such as most porsches , surely that is the point of owning a modded car ..be different and show what can be done for a budget the average working class guy can afford ??..who needs to spend gazzillion pounds when a 6 grand motor is every bit as entertaining and probably faster
  6. i think they have around 500 bhp from a v8 but are a lot heavier than the zed in the S class ,still 0-60 in 4.8 limited to 155 in the CLK they are only 365 BHP but a lot lighter than the S class ..amazing tourque though 0-60 in 5.5 and limited 155 also ...........same performance as a porsche carrera excepty in the twisties ....well done mate ......not bad for 12 year old Nissan
  7. 150 quid .....or there abouts .sorry to hear about the tw*t that wrecked your zed mate hope you catch the Git and break his elbows
  8. its moisture getting on the AFM ........i had it when i fitted my blitz sonic induction , but when i fitted the 99 spec front end it stopped playing up even in heavy rain ??.. I Did stop it before by using a pir of my wifes old tights over the induction intake and fastened securely , they act as a filter fine enough to catch and repel most of the bigger droplets of water and road crud HTH
  9. that paint is awesome and it will look fantastic flipping over the curves of the zed especialy the rear three quarter ..bet it cost a fekin fortune a litre
  10. im hyper Matthew, T-Tops off and down to the sea front to embarass a few porsche owners at the lights :))
  11. got my zed back from the repair shop , wife has just called me to say "its" back ..........some of you guys might remember a tree fell on it ( during the storms a few months ago ) ....taking off the drivers mirror and denting the wing and bonnet and "A" frame ....cant wait to seeit repaired as good as new again ....will post up some pics when im back

  15. i was sleeping ..................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  16. mine must be the odd one out then ?? mine is a Jap import .....are they hooked up slightly differently ??
  17. fill the tank to absolutely full . take apart dash , remove dials , and cover plate , with ignition on but car not started , look at fuel gauge ,on the fuel gauge there is a small potentiometer , adjust so the dial reads full or better still 99% .....turn the ignition off and gauge should settle at zero , watch the movement of the pointer as it should be smooth , if it sticks anywhere it could be that the gauge face has warped slightly and that may be the problem , put it back together and good luck Steve
  18. if it was wiper motor it would stick on slow and fast sweep also ..its the same motor for the intermitent wipe ....its more likly to be the intermittent timer unit or a bad connection on the relay or fuse or wiper control stalk IMHO
