  4. they are designed that way so when they rotate they actively pull air over the disc and cool it down ( after a damn good thrashing obviously ) Steve
  5. have you checked the throttle position sensor? is the throttle cable sticking slightly and giving the TPS a difficult time in telling the ECU where it is hence the revs up and down like a whores drawers check the TPS is clean and the cable assembly runs smoothly Steve
  6. the heater in the mirrors is activated when you turn on the rear window demister
  7. Maxsunny check out http://www.gtgrafix.co.uk for plates steve
  8. invest in a snap on steering wheel , when ever you park it up take the steering wheel off it can be done in seconds , problem is though they are all a bit "Max Power" looking i like the sound of the Auto Tazer , fry the theiving t**** or buy a starving doberman and keep it in the car when your not Steve
  9. is it the switch to pick passenger or driver side mirror so you can adjust them from the control switch in the car ??
  10. sounds like the PTU , the other option is it could be the mass air flow sensor if you have an induction kit fitted and the sensor has got wet it will cause the same problems , if the PTU goes its usually sudden and an engine stopper , the MAF will cause bad fuelling and missfires loss of power etc etc check the MAF isnt wet or contaminated its an easy check to do
  11. try where i have got my alloys and wheels from he is great at sourcing odd ball tyres and has a great stock of alloys in and does the best deals on most makes of alloy you could want he is a car nut himself and tools around in a 360 BHP scooby http://www.westgatetyres.co.uk ask for Graham Steve
  12. a friend of mine has just spent over 22 grand on a 3.2V6 AudiTT ( 240 BHP )he is most cheesed off because my 300 TT eats his hairdressers mobile for breakfast they are a lot lighter than a zed but absolutely no match is your footwell carpet stopping your throttle pedal going all the way down ??
  13. i hope the next time the person that TWOC'd that nice yellow zed goes for a dump his turd turns out to be an angry hedgehog .ill keep my eyes peeled for it up in the north west and pass it on to my son in middlesbrough to put the feelers out for it up there .............hope it turns up mate , Steve
  14. i have used it in my Zed , no noticeable improvements , however in the old V6 Vectra it made a big difference , the car seemed smoother and more responsive, i saw an add once that showed a guy driving across Australia after he had put slick 50 in his Holden V8 and then drained his oil off .....the car ran all the way no lube oil no damage to the shells or bearings .....i think its better to have it and not need it than to have needed it and not had it
  15. sent the cheque last week still not updated to subscribed ?? anyway guys is there any info anywhere on removing the dashboard i am getting some of Vijays indiglo dials when im back in UK but have no idea how to get the dash apart and cant find anything on FAQ so i bow to your supperior knowledge on the Zed in the hope you take pity on a freezing cold fellow zedder in kazakhstan steve
  16. just a point that worked for my mate , say you where approaching the lights saw them change went to slow down but sneezed and by then you had no option but to carry on through , ever tried to stop yourself or keep your eyes open when you sneeze say you omitted to tell the porker this as you didnt think it was important , him screwing up the colour of the car makes his evidence inaccurate in court a good solicitor would chew him up and spit him out
  17. im running 19 " dare alloys no tram lining and they look the muts nuts
  18. there is a twin light conversion available which looks like the earlier skylines available from the zcentre complete with centre panel and twin round lights either side , steve
  19. Thanks for that Mac , i will log back on later today so long as the boss isnt watching .... its freezing over here today minus 20c this morning and dropping ( without the wind chill factor ) wonder what a zed would go like in those temperatures given a dry road of course ?? steve:rolleyes:

  22. Gio the only way to go is with the indicator being a digital not analogue device , analogue uses moving parts hence wear and tear and then hysteresis "inaccurate readings" ( "slogger" in instrumentational terms ) go digital read out and electronic sendor , mechanical gauges are only used in industry these days because they are cheap and intrinsically safe to use in hazardous areas and offer fairly reliable pressure indication however they do need re calibration at least once a year to remove zero and range errors which are attributable to the aformentioned slogger ( wear and tear in the moving parts ) Steve
