does anyone know the wiring connections for the speedo convertor on the back of the gauge pod for KPH to MPH conversion , are there any links to show how to fit a speed convertor to the correct terminals ? cheers people Steve :cool:

if you have bought an Alpine head unit the problem wont be with the frequency as its set up for european wavelengths , have you checked the ariel lead and connections to the head unit and ariel ?

help .......fitted the indiglo dial kit from Vijay , everything works ok light wise but now the speedo has stopped and the hicas light is on and the steering is really heavy .........any ideas people ?? :cry: :cry: :(

the jap stereo radio FM is not the same modulation frequency band as ours you need a frequency convertor if you are going to keep the orgional radio cd unit i have a buck shee one ( free to good home ) going spare if you want it , let me know if you need it, it plugs in to the ariel lead and 12v power and thats it job done , steve

did you fit new gauge fronts or a new set of dials complete? if you have a common problem to the gauges that are not working now and were working previoulsy then it isnt a calibration issue , more like a bad earth or poor connection somewhere causing the problem , for instruments to suddenly go out of calibration is normally due to excess of calibrated range parameters or other sudden excessive input changes ( high / low voltage , current , resistance ) go over what you did on the gauge change and double check all connections , checking for "crimped" wires or split insulation or loose terminations etc etc good luck steve

gear graunching when booting it ........simple cure change the gear box oil for some race spec gear oil ........well worth the time and effort taken to do this simple job steve

70 MPh but i did do it in 5.9 seconds ........on a private road i have taken it up to 160 indicated but my arse collapsed , things like roundabouts and tractors pulling out of side roads come up on you pretty quick at those speeds

well its more or less decided that the wiper is coming off , i never use it so i cant see the point in keeping it ............say bye bye wiper and 2 or 3 kilos of unused wieght ...........il post some pics when its done steve

im eventually having the wings west mid height rear spoiler fitted and the 99 spec front end with full re spray , my question is should i remove and smooth over the rear wiper or leave it in place , ??? i have seen a 300 with the rear wiper removed and smoothed over and i liked it but i would welcome other opinions on this mod ..come on fellas and ladies whats the joint opinion should i go for it or not ?? the car never goes out in the rain anyway Steve

Rossy , i had the same problem with smoke on start up after de catting i put a centre box before the propshaft centre bearing fed both pipes into one the box then out the box to the two end boxes ...lovely "burble" sound and no more smoke , its still a straight through system so no significant loss of power , in fact it seems less peaky and more tourquey than before steve

ive been speaking to Peter at thor about upgrading my zed and he is getting the equipment soon to enable him to map the EPROMs , ..........im sure he will keep us posted when he gets it as he has about 5 different maps now to work from steve

power flow is a franchise so you cant tar them all with the same brush , my system has been custom made by Phill at west gate tyres and is fantastic it sounds superb ( lovely burble to it ...) gauranteed for life of the car and i get excellent performance from it go for it Ken but as its a franchise ask people around your area if they have dealt with that particular outlet ,

the bose bit was origionally the centre speaker unit ,

Alex if you put a free flow exhaust and intake and ecu upgrade you will be reaching the power handling limits of the clutch , with the mods you are doing and an ecu you should be seeing around 370+ at the flywheel or 280+ rear wheel horse power

what difference does de activating the hicas make ?? i would have thought it was there to aid steering when big handfuls are applied in an emergency ??
