  1. see what you mean .........and agree a bit more attention to detail would have made a difference as the car itself does not seem that bad condition,
  2. it looks just fantastic ..........like it should have been done in 99 when it was facelifted for the final time
  3. you bad man :) :) dont forget there are welsh people on this forum ....sorry taff didnt mean to make ewe feel sheepish !!!
  4. looking at Verns posts is seems he is a true petrol head and is not a chav boy racer ( i hope ) lets face it they ( chavs ) wouldnt pay 5 grand for a car let alone insurance :) and he has subscribed already , a Chav wouldnt dream of that .........( again i hope ) no .....fair play to him i say
  5. Hi Mate , fair play , just please please dont stick colour changing LED's on the washer jets :))) if you search one item at a time you may find what you are looking for a bit easier ie leather retrim ...new handbrake gaiter etc etc there is a guycalled Peter who does remarkable retrims in the combination and colour leather of your choice ...comes from scotland , drives to yours picks up your seats , brings them back about a week later fully retrimmed ...i think the email is nipponauto@blueyonder.co.uk i know he deals in ebay sound bloke cant recomend him highly enough , he drives a zed himself so that makes him a better person
  6. depends on how fast you normaly drive it , i agree with Simon that the LWB does need something on there to finish and punctuate the swooping lines of the back end , however the SWB looks far better butt naked you dont really need it unless your going stupidly "please ban me officer" fast ...so its all a matter of personal tatse , end of the day its your zed , have it how you like it i would change the rear lights though to 99 spec , i am in the process of doing mine while teh car is away having an upgrade , but i am converting mine to LED nice car by the way
  7. if its just a clutch slipping , i would be tempted for the few extra bucks to uprate to a RPS max or if your planning serious upgrades in power a Carbon carbon clutch , Smithy / DTA on here can supply them , then go to a decent garage in your area to have the clutch changed, Clutches on the Z32 are very near the limit as stock with the power these cars produce and can produce, if tweaked slightly the standard clutch even if in very good condition will slip, so an uprated clutch is deffo a recomendation if your changing it anyway ,you only really need a specialist like Zworld or Zextreme when it comes to servicing and fault finding , enjoy the Zed and welcome to the club
  8. only way Jimmy is do a full test on all 6 that way you know its only the one bank or its the equipment your testing with or it might highlight other cylinders that are low who knows ..............anyway you will definately need to know for Scott when you call him as for sure he will ask about it good luck
  9. jeez jimmy bet your gutted and a tad miffed
  10. it does sound familiar :) intercoolers and better venting of the engine bay would greatly help as well ....i know and i think Funky Si has seen in teh states that the rubber lip seal on the windscreen scuttle panel that the bonnet shuts too is sometimes removed and it aids air flow and heat loss and is a no cost Mod
  11. hang in their Chris ...its along haul getting these cars right, but the way they still turn heads and go and sound and make you feel when you rip the doors off the pikey in the Cayman S at the private traffic lights officer is just too good to give up
  12. stunning car .........the only thing i would ever replace my zed with i think
  13. i think but may be corrected that one of the main limiting factor to revs is the VVT system ,is not man enough for uba high revs, so its you that is keeping my Zed from being done is it Steve :) ....havnt discussed Bearings with Andy yet , do you think you could get me some white power bearings ? if i give you the money first of course :) and when Andy knows what size etc etc Steve
  14. What rate spark plugs are you running Dan ?, have you made provision for removing the cast flashing in the water ways in the block ? a bit of nitrous to assist the getaway wouldnt go amiss :) it would also help to cool the charge ! also running that kind of power the heat build up under the bonnet will be substaitially higher than standard especially at higher boost figures ..i would give consideration toa vented bonnet or custom vent your own to dissopate some of the heat also for the price it would be worth while changing the wiring loom in my opinion good luck mate Steve
  15. the brakes appear standard !!! .............obvioulsy built for a suicidal decendant of a WW2 kamikazi pilot...hating the interior .....Volks are very very nice though
  16. check the direction of air flow of the fan the fan in our cars suck air through the rad front to back not blow. if the fan has been put on back to front it will be blowing not sucking , also did you keep the fan shroud as that really helps to keep the cars temp cool
  17. too much money not enough brain cells
  18. i have a veilside body kit and mahoosive rear wing on my teeth ....i dont like the Factory look Si :)
  19. 240 2.4 260 2.6 iirc !! lovely looking things though ........
  20. a change in about 8 degrees C of fuel temp realises a 1% change in volumetric amount that you buy so given the the ground temp at minus 10feet is roughly constant at 13 degrees c and the air temp is 22 there is aleady a 9 degree change , plus the extra temp change due to flowing petrol and pressure loss. so if petrol is cautiously pumped the fuel saved could be theoreticaly as high as 1 litre in every 100 ... steve
  21. congratulations Chris , i wish him health happiness and contentment , glad to see all well went well , steve
  22. i like it but as others have said it needs the ride hide seriously dropping and some carbon tricky bits to augment the graphics to complete the street racer look . well done for being different steve
  23. andy duff is near you , great lad but very busy and you may be pushed to get it in at short notice tubs is not a dificult job its the fact that engine needs to come out , so along with that you have the usual disconnections of cables etc etc and the problems that can bring !! but while its out ther is lots of time and trouble saving jobs you can do as well , do a search on engine removal or jobs to do while engine out ... good luck mate
  24. i have heard great reports from "Perfect touch" my mate is having his GTR33 skyline prepared there ..1000bhp plus nitrous ....the guy there who does the mapping is a genious .......dont think its cheap but then again the best never is .. i think they are down london way , not sure !!
