first of all if you have got most of the turd up leave the stains to dry out fully , use a hair drier to speed up the process once youve got most of it up or off you can use water , warm with a bit of lemon juice in it but dont soak the wood to get up any stuborn crap ...blot it up with kitchen towel and when its dry use some clean wire wool . not a brillo pad and gently get the wood grain clean work with the wood grain in that direction only , then when its plugged and sealed you wont even notice

sounds like you have a plug bereaking down under load ..swap number 5 and number 1 plugs over and see if the fault moves with the plug or stays in the same place ...

common fault which makes a loud screech is the alternator belt slipping when cold its simple to tighten up , do a search on here , what is your tacho doing ?? does it all of a sudden Rev after a hesitation ,.....i think you have a mix of problems , with the main one being the clutch cant handle the mods youve done and its slipping , and the aletnator belt is slipping at the same time and i would do an ECU diagnostic and check for boost leaks like Jimmy says good luck mate Steve

rear seal on the tubbie is gone the increased boost pressure ( after changing the hose ) has just highlighted it , if your still getting decent boost and can live with the bit of smoke its not going to be a catastrophic failure for a long time , gives you chance to save for some dual ball race tubs :))

its a Zed...........think kato in pink panther .....always ready to jump out and make life a soddin misery .. :)) mate with suspension i would think at a minimum you would need spring compressors and a lot of easing oil or penetrating oil some good axle stands and a good strong trolley jack .....and a spare pair of hands .....

first of all upgrade the brakes .....its a must , then you should be looking at boost controller , larger injectors 555 upgraded intercoolers and a larger radiator also the clutch WILL need changing as stock it wont handle 400rwhp , realisticaly you should be looking at forged pistons at a minimum , for the bottem end if you upgrade tubs and manifolds you could be looking at 6 grand for the bits without the build costs Steve
