Just a big big thank you for Dan at DTA and Andy Duff ( and Saz ) ...... as most know i have been going through a very tough time over the last year and my upgrade of the zed was on and off more times than Rocky on sky movies.....but now the bits are being ordered up by Dan + Andy is taking delivery of the car for the rebuild Dan and Andy and Saz have been so suportive and understanding and patient ..anybody considering an upgrade wouldnt go far wrong trusting your Zed with Andy and Dan ..i just cant fault Dans customer care and support and the constant advice from Andy was more than great .......Saz is just a genuine sweetheart and a pleasure to know. only need Andy to make good on the promise of a can of Stela and the jobs a good un ...........This rebuild now means such a lot to me , a turning point if you like .....new start etc etc thanks Guys .honestly ........thanks Steve

Thanks for the advice SI and for posting the pics it does look awesome ...but then again your car always does , ..the head unit i have bought has a motorised tilt feature on the screen so i should have no problems other then the mounting bracket issue , asim an inst engineer i will make the brackets i need and knock a couple of extra up for anybody that needs them , in fact if you give me dimensions or a drawing i will get some made here and send them to you when im back in the uk in 3 weeks steve

try a company in manchester the http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk they did mine and they are fantastic, in black chrome they did a full strip down and low bake triple coat finish with re balance with tyres back on 270 quid a lot cheaper than new wheels .....very nice guys to do business with HTH steve

Hi Everybody Well the order has gone in for the parts and they should all be here by April apart from the head gaskets , i am not sure what size ( thickness to go for ) here is the list of the spec i have bought PE 1420 Turbo Charger Kit Wiseco 87.5mm Pistons Nismo 555cc injectors (pre-1994) Injector O-ring (top) Injector O-ring (bottom) bypass water hose Engine Gasket Kit (excl. stock head gasket) Rubber Half-moon gaskets (left out of above kit) Turbo Inlet Gasket Kit Cometic Head Gasket (88mm) ***** Eagle Rods ARP VG30 Head Stud Kit MS Manifolds Border Front mount Intercooler Profec b boost controller what would the techies out there advise ?? i am swayed towards the 1.524 +0.060" i am loooking for a good tourque figure over outright power so i aim for about 400 rwhp , at the moment i will be using a DTA chip to suit the above but i will be upgrading to a stand alone ECU in the near future so mapping , problems with Det should not be much of an issue thanks Guys Steve

if you want much better pick up and not bothered about top end go for a new diff a third of the price and you dont need to take the engine out ........some on here have the NA diff installed or an after market diff i have heard it makes a hell of a difference

fast , quick , great street cred and road presence but now old and now brittle ..........and will have been thrashed mercilessly most of its life .............it was only designed to have 220bhp the RS500 was designed to take up to 500bhp and had chassis brakes to match , the saphire cossie is on its limit of the chassis coping at 300 bhp .......so unless extensive susspension and brake upgrades have been done i would steer clear.

Hi Patrick the calipers over time do sieze and the performance of them fades , its not a difficult job to sort out , they can be overhauled , new seals etc i think Danny at DTA or smithy or Z1 will sell you a brake overhaul kit , while you are at it change the fluid for dot 5.1 and get some ferrodo DS 2500 pads ditch themetal pads as they take ages to heat up in road use and will eat your discs would you rather sacrifice the pads at 70 pounds or discs at 500 ?? also fit a brake booster brace steve

could be the lambda sensor steve and its over fueling to prevent Det , ....?? have you run a diagnostic on the ECU any error codes up ??

i want a double din fascia for this , nice and simple and unclutered ive been in touch with 3 or 4 suppliers just wating on response , i will post up when i have the cost and time estimate
