i would suggest a new belt then re tighten the alternator, also replace the bolts in tehbrackets and use a star washer to stop it slipping , speedo jumping , has the car got a white or phosphorescent dial kit on it ? ususlay its the needle sticking at certain points on the scale ...if not then the speedo sensor connection could be faulty , clean the terminals up and try again, hicas light, most common is the level in the power steering resevoir under the bonnet top it up and it should be ok, if its grinding in the gearbox .........not sure but does not sound to clever, could be the clutch is on the way out, they are at the limit of operation at just over standard power, up rated clutch is the way to go RPS street spec is fine talk to smithy clutch slipping as before ......talk to smithy hth steve

its simple to do but only from under the car , slacken two bolts then tighten with the adjuster , the belt should deflect no more than 12mm i think in total ( 6mm each way ) there is a write up on the FAQ with pictures do a search , steve

Hi i used to always use autoglym products , but last time home i changed to Maguires , its expensive but the difference is astounding....wash it with the Maquires car wash and shampoo, then i washed it again , when dry i clay bared the whole car , and didnt get time to use the maguires gold polish, or wax , plenty of threads on hear in the FAQ go under search and look for detailing or polishing car HTH Steve

have had no problems with mine work ok but the colour change option has stopped working ...maybe its the small hard plastic tab thingy with two triangle buttons on it thathas broken im not sure but . like i say other than that two years trouble free

im running 3G 310mm rotors on the front at the moment Paul and want to swap them to the back and then put 345 on the front with 6 pot calipers ..........

yes see what your saying , but as i only use the handbrake for parking would it be an issue if the shoes padded up against alloy or cast iron ?? ..i will have a good look when im home and see if its feasable .........cheers Dunk

no not smut ........but does anyone know if the front and read discs have the same size bells as i am thinking of putting my front 3G set up and front calipers on the rear and going 6 pot and larger discs on the front ..as you know the handbrake is internal to the bell on the rear and if its a simple matter of making up some brackets to get it to fit then thats not a show stopper...........unless someone knows otherwise ???? :slap:

true Greg ....its still a saloon with spoilers and foglights .....where as a zed is a zed it was designed to do what it does as a specific vehicle not derived from a family daily shopper adapted by FMD to go fast ( and break down very often like mine did ) ...........i did like it though
