i had the 2.0 it was revvy and easy to bounce it off the rev limiter if your not careful super smooth ...gearbox was lovely ....clutch was light brakes progressive and it handled well considering the ride was so soft ..well fitted inside but the seats got very grubby very quickly and the headliner looked like an egyptians toilet ...no head room in the back and limited in the front as well ...not the most economical of cars i have ever owned especialy if only doing short runs

did you see the pics of my fat ass at the body shop ?? JeffTT posted them up for me so looking forward to getting it back ....then its a trip up to boro to take the lads out in it .....and you of course aslong as its not raining ..shes not going out in the rain oh no no no

i wouldnt do it either and i dont know a couple of blokes who for 30 quid each will trash his car and break his wrists, ..............i wouldnt find out where he lives and drive by one night with a rubber glove full of nitromors and i certainly wouldnt throw it at his car cos that would be criminal

hi anyone know of a firm that make custom headers ? ....ive tried the big Merc tuners carlson , brabus, Kleemans if they have any they are hyper expensive ......looking for some for my V8 ......searched on Google and cant find anything .... cheers

Hi Paul i was looking at kleemans supercharger upgrade but 7 grand is a bit steep im not sure if by loosing the cats the enginemanagemnt system would go all to pot oxygen sensors etc ....i might be making more trouble for myself ....ive contacted a few custom race manifold makers and am waiting on replies from them...looking at the exhaust alone there must be a good 40-50 BHP waiting to be released just there .... and the intake is as equaly restrictive ...

hi all i have had for some time now a ML 55AMG as my daily driver and work horse , it does 0-60 in about 6.5 and will get up to 140 + if allowed ...i would like a bit more grunt from the car if possible ..i have thought about a re map but feel more could be gained from a decent exhaust headers and intake system..anybody know anything about these ..it seems very indistructable and very understressed ...any of you boys running V8's have any ideas ?? cheers steve

Mercs are comfortable and very dependable , over engineered , but not as nice ..for that class of vehicle the BMW is a nice option

try bi turbo ....there was a nice one on ebay off a masserati

cheers guys just wish i had the time and apptitude to do it myself , ....Jeff has done a top job with the bag of bolts he was handed .....the body shop have been fantastic .....just waiting fior it all to be put together now , i can see things like the Border front Mount intercooler causing some ball ache ...and the leader gear set .....getting it mapped seems like its going to be a huge issue unless any one knows who can Map AEM ecu,s ??

Hi Barry long time no see .....i was thinking that looking at the pics that i might have to have it modded, shame as so much work has gone into blending the inner arch to the wing .....we will see , maybe it wont do it who knows ...

ive got some lined up ...im going for 18 with a 12" rear wheel i dont want to use spacers at all , i dont think it looks "right" from behind somehow when a 10" wheel is spaced out to fit .....only concern now is the tyre hitting the inner arch lip if it sits too low or squats under too much under acceleration.......

thanks for posting them up Jeff.....i cant tell you how anxious i am to get driving it ....the body shop have done a sterling job ...cant wait to see it all in the flesh when its all done and put together.....best thing i ever did was hand my Zed over to you cheers Steve

hi mate, the leader gear set is not installed yet ..its on the list for Jeff and his team i will contact leader gears and see what they recomend for fast street use , i was going to go for a Motul gear 300 75w90 synthetic ester based gear / diff oil suposed to be unshearble, i will probably drop a line to Oppie oils and see what he recomends and what he can supply
